Just be careful of both salt & sugar intake, particularly if you have health issues related to these factors. They are used in preservatives in even the best frozen meals

Counting calories for sure. Cooking my own meals; they're just healthier. And some kind of exercise. I've started walking to build up to running & I find it pleasant.

A tall skin latte & water.

Red wine, hands down; it's good and good for you (1 glass per night). At present though, I'm partial to vodka--tonic w/lime or with a splash of Blood Orange Sanpellegrino. As best you can, nix the mixers...that's where a LOT of calories come in.

Great job!

I started at the same time. Right now, I'm always on the app b/c this community encourages me until I can form a solid habit. Use your diary. Try very hard to abide by it. And when you have an issue, open a forum so that people can encourage/motivate you. At least that's what happening for me & I'm VERY excited about that

Omg, don't stop eating. These limited calories have forced me back to foods that satisfy for longer periods of time. Find high fiber fruits, vegetables, grains, & beans and then be very active about finding a variety of recipes to diversify your meals. Don't get (exceedingly) hungry; snacks help. That said, you will feel…

Hi @GraceRose828 I'm new here (just downloaded the app this week) & so far ALL of my experiences have been positive. Thankfully, this community has been good to this newbie. Remember that sometimes, good outweighs the bad, so try to remember US when the "bad guys" rear their bitchy heads. I absolutely LOATHE bullies, I…

@hollypopp10 yes! It's surprising that after being sedentary for so long (& how bad I am at running right now) just how much I just want to run. I've continued to walk despite soreness (thanks to encouragement from people on this forum) but when I'm outside & the weather is perfect & everything is just so beautiful it is…

Roasted root vegetables (beets, sweet potatoes, carrots, red onion) cooked w/thyme & topped with olive oil and sautéed beet greens. So delicious & incredibly healthy. I think the recipe is on allrecipes.com
-
@TrevorLeacock I agree with you, I must listen to my body. But I also don't want to slip into bad, sedentary habits; I know for me that temptation is real & powerful. My body still hurts (less though) today but I know I can take that walk. I'm going out again today & take another walk, along a different route this time. It…

I am totally making space for my nightly cocktail (or wine) in my weight loss journey. I suspect this will become a problem later but I'll deal with that later

Don't know if you guys will see this but you are all awesome! I went out for a slow paced, hour long walk and I feel SO EMPOWERED!!! This community is great!
-
Yeah beckajw, I think I'm going to do what pondee639 suggested and take that walk
-
That's probably what I will do; at least until my body adapts.
-
I was thinking about just taking a pleasure walk; I REALLY want to be out. I think I will. Thanks!
-
Thanks for the advice! I think you're right, I probably went too hard too fast. I think I just wanted to push myself b/c I've been so lazy for so long. But I will dial it back b/c I want this to become a lifestyle change for me. Best with your fitness journey!
