this post speaks to me. just posted a discussion about that today. will read member's posts. hopefully it will keep me focused

Informative pic. thanks for posting it. i kinda understand that i lose and gain throughout the day. but just because it is my first time since i started dieting gaining for almost 5 days and then losing it. i always thought weighting at morning would be accurate if you didn't have high sodium intake in the previous day. :D…

i am still trying to lose weight. my goal is maybe 64 or 63 kg. so i still have 5-6 kg (11-13lbs) to lose. it doesn't measure in whole numbers, but it is not a digital scale. but the needle was hovering over the 70 kg. .. hopefully this resolves. i was 69 for two days and now i am 70 again. so it seems like i am just…

thank you for your replay. very helpful
-
Very nice! Great progress.

yeah, i've been lifting for a few weeks. but i want to be consistent. i know i won't build muscles while still in a deficit but i will feel stronger and that's my goal
-
wow, didn't see this post yesterday. i see. you look amazing. i am at 23.6 BMI now. and i am planning on going low to reach maybe 20 or 19. just because i know i will feel better
-
no, my blood tests are fine i guess. i didn't do one for months, but the last time i did that. i was only anaemic but i feel like i am not healthy because i still hold lots of fat in thigh area... i don't think that's healthy
-
Wow, hope he is doing okay now.
-
Thanks for your reply. I needed reassurance and that did it for me.
-
thank you for the your input :)
-
yeah, i was kinda wondering because i am at a normal BMI now. (i didn't have so much weight to lose) but my friends keep telling me that i am healthy now, why are you still dieting. but i feel like i still got lots of fat to lose. just because i am at a normal weight doesn't mean that my bf% is in healthy range.

Do you do anything in your day other than training? Job? And what's your job? Because i guess people will need to know that to decide if you should eat more
-
my go to snack is air-popped popcorn. i also like onion pickles :D but i don't think anyone would consider this a snack. frozen yogurt, pick your favorite low calorie one.
-
i agree, i wouldn't take into account calories burned in strength training, for example, if you are running 30 mins in a day, you only use HRM in this 30 mins. stop the counter after that. and do your strength training.
-
That makes sense, thanks for explaining.
-
Yeah, i only use mine on running sessions, walking.. So on. But i can't help myself from thinking about doing an experiment and keeping the HRM all day. Just to see what i would get.. Wonder if anyone tried something similar with HRM with chest straps
-
Wow, i would get extremely mad in your situation. Lool... I had only little money to spend, so if the watch i've bought was defective. I don't know what i would do... Well, i believe that any company pays one day for their customers' experience.. Even if people trust their products performance, they shouldn't take that for…
-
Awesome, will check the link when i go home. Maybe one day i will be able to afford it
-
Spices and salt, and my onion pickles :D
-
I went for a high pace 35 min walk+run and it was only 225. Umm i think that i can safely eat my calories, i dunno really since it seems that most people get higher readings :D i am not sure is it because i am not fit or what, but @sijomial says that for under average fitness people, it tends to overestimate. Not sure
-
Why could it overestimate for people under average fitness level? Iam asking because i can probably say i am not really fit.. I don't know if i am below average though. My readings is way off from MFP calculator. Lower not higher.
-
I actually looked into thw one you mentioned :D, it doesn't have chest strap, nice... But i don't think i would be able to afford it, the polar one i got is even an old model :)
-
How does the Garmin monitors 24/7, is the hr in the watch itself or do you have to wear like a chest strap all day?
-
I never had any other hr monitor, i've bought a polar one with chest strap aswell. Was it a problem with the hr monitor itslef or with the company that made you get the Garmin?
-
Amen, It is also important to mention that many people don't disagree with Vegan diet, but mostly about the idiotic information some people say like "Eat unlimited food and +30 bananas a day and you will lose weight. If it works for some people, eating unlimited on Vegan diet, this could be due to fast metabolism or maybe…
-
That's the one i use, thanks for your reply :)
-
what's you fitness level? :) i guess maybe the MFP burn range for people. i am not really fit so this maybe could explain that the calories i get from my monitor is way less than i get from MFP calculator? i am not sure though
-
I agree, it is very important that the OP know that in order to lose weight it requires a calorie deficit and unfortauntly most of the information on Vegan diet just suggest to cut out animal products. which doesn't necessarily mean that you will lose weight.
-
yeah, this is quite sad because i would've not noticed that this information label is sketchy if i wasn't logging here on MFP. i will probably check their other packages in the store and see if there nutrition information is like that on all their packaging. maybe even call their hotline and leave a note because many…
