Can you enter your 200gms as one of your custom foods, allow it to be added to the database and then create a new recipe - when you add a food it searches the database so in theory it should find your entry, I think!

I am sorry but there is no evidence to support the myth that ACV does anything to aid weight loss...

Starvation mode isn't actually a thing. Also, how do you think you GAINED weight if you weren't eating much? You only store fat if you are taking in more calories than your body can use, so you were probably eating more than you thought you were, or things that were calorie dense (that didn't seem to be all that much…

I think he is considering giving that dumbbell a little shove and sending it over the edge.. ;)

Mine bosses me around and yells at me. He must think that it's motivating or something. This is him saying 'just pick up the damn bar, woman..'

Porridge. Warm, comforting goodness...

Ah, I thought they might be - they just looked a tad solid ;) I prefer 'em creamy and not-quite-set :)

@pancakerunner - what's the yellowish stuff? Is it some sort of overcooked eggs..?

You can't 'aim' at muscle rather than fat if eating in a surplus (bulking) when trying to increase muscle mass - which is achieved by resistance training whilst you are eating over your maintenance calories in order to fuel muscle growth. You will inevitably gain both. Then you have to cut (eat in a deficit and lose the…

It is science - the way to lose excess fat is to consume fewer calories than you expend. There IS a broad agreement on this - however, how one goes about doing it is where people offer different methods. Anyone claiming to provide advice on fitness whilst disagreeing with the fundamental principle should probably be…

No-one will say that you 'lied', just that you were making errors in tracking the calories that you consumed. Because calories in/calories out isn't a holy book - it's science...
-
Oh go on then - I'll play (even though I know that one really shouldn't feed the trolls.. ;) ) What toxic substance have you consumed that you need to eliminate from your body?
-
Doesn't matter how much you drink - it doesn't do a thing to aid weight loss... although I'm sure there will be folk along soon that enjoy it as part of a salad dressing ;) The only way to lose weight is to create a caloric deficit and to be patient as you may not lose as much as you would like in the timeframe that you…

There isn't an age limit on being able to lift weights.. ;) If you wanted to you could drop one of the 3 mile runs and add in a weights session :)
-
And the optional gravel rash..? Just sayin' ... ;)

I was almost at the end of the thread and had just got my 'Rip' link sorted but you have beaten me to it.. ) !

Please explain how (other than retaining water, which is not actual 'gain') one can gain weight whilst eating in a deficit? And no, it doesn't matter... and I can't put it any other way than to say that opinions on 'hotness' aren't exactly appropriate in this context...

Why would you even consider that being close to an ideal weight instead of being obese would NOT make one feel healthier? There's nothing 'magic' about it. Hauling pounds and pounds of excess weight around on a body that - let's face it - isn't designed to support those pounds is bound to be tiring. You say in your…

But what is it?!
-
It's a zero calorie drink - why would you think (we don't 'all know it' ) that it would contribute to weight gain..?

I know - there can be no such thing as 'vegetarian' collagen by the very nature of what collagen is ;) I was trying to point that out nicely, in case the person posting was vegetarian and hadn't realised :)
-
Collagen powder? I didn't know that there was such a thing as a vegetarian collagen powder, I only associate collagen with connective tissues and suchlike. I shall have to investigate further... ;)
-
@pancakerunner - you are the devil. Incarnate.. ;) !

Tone is sometimes difficult to interpret so am really hoping that I have somehow missed the underlying kidding in this...
-
@pancakerunner - almost 12 hours have passed and yes, I'm back to tantalise myself with the unattainable .. ;)
-
Cruel, cruel pancakerunner... :'( :p
-
Oh, please don't - it'd be torture! I live on a small island off the North coast of Scotland, it's almost 11 at night and I'm 18 miles from the nearest shop which of course will be closed anyhow. And even if it were open it wouldn't have these!! :D
-
Thank you - now I know without any shadow of a doubt that I DO need it.. ;) !
-
What is in the top picture, please? I don't know what I'm looking at but I'm fairly convinced that I need it...

It has a thicker texture compared to most yogurts, it's more 'set - it is actually a flavoured quark. Arla make a similar one which is slightly thinner but I don't like it as much as the Graham's version.
