I didn't know it was national ice cream day, I guess that justifies the 3 ice cream bars and ice cream cone I had today lol but try Yasso frozen Greek yogurt bars. They're 100 and sooo good, my favorite is chocolate chip cookie dough but all of them are good

That's a myth and starvation mode doesn't exist

My two biggest tips are to weigh your food because it really does make a difference and don't think of food as good or bad. This is the first time I'm actually sticking to my diet and don't feel miserable and I realized that's because I eat more stuff that I actually like so it doesn't even feel like a diet sometimes. Just…

I'm 5'4 and currently 129/130 pounds. I started at 150 but started using MFP when I was 140 pounds. I'm trying to get down to 120, which is my first goal. I think I'm going to go for a bit lower than that though, maybe 115 (since weight fluctuates a lot during maintanence and I'd rather be 115-120 instead of 120-125)…

Geez that's impressive, I try to get 8/10 cups (64-80oz) but I usually end up only getting around 5 cups (40oz). I always forget to drink water until an hour before bed and then I don't want to drink a lot because I'll wake up every hour needing to pee lol

Depends how much you eat, you might gain up to 10 pounds but most of it will be water weight. I don't think you would gain more than 4 pounds of fat. And yeah, if you got back on track of course it would come off  Most should come off in a week but it might take a bit longer to lose actual fat. Honestly, vacations…

Do whatever works for you. I've been averaging 1200-1250 calories per day and it works for me. I'm smaller than you though (5'4, 129 pounds) and don't exercise much so I feel like you could easily eat more. If you're not hungry and feel fine at 1200 calories I don't see what the problem is, but make sure you're eating back…

Yeah I assumed that there would be more rice in the bowl so I'll ask for half and I'm using my own sour cream at home haha thank you!

Uncooked

Both! I wouldn't eat something I don't like just because it's healthy haha I try to eat "healthy" stuff just because it's usually more filling for less calories but I eat unhealthy stuff too

I've had something like it, it was Arizona in powder form kind of like crystal light and 0 calories. I agree though that tea doesn't have any beneficial properties, except maybe making you feel fuller if you drink a lot of it.

When you're already pretty small each pound is going to make a difference, good luck!!

Thank you! 5'4 :)

Thanks everyone! The biggest difference I can see is that I was more round in my stomach area before and now it's curved more inwards! I didn't even realize how round I was until I wasn't anymore :)

By weighing myself and seeing my weight go down. That's enough of a reward for me haha

I've been wanting cheesecake so bad recently lol

I have no idea but I just wanted to say that I would feel so weird cooking with coconut oil! I first bought it for reasons other than cooking (putting it in hair to moisturize it, taking off makeup with it, shaving) so I don't even see it as something edible anymore lol.

I don't think it's ever really a habit in the sense that you'll only want "healthy" food and never want anything that's not so healthy. Even the healthiest people still want cake or cookies or pizza or whatever else sometimes. BUT for me, it became easier and pretty normal after around 3 weeks.

Is it really that hard to just not go though? I made a habit of getting fast food every single day but now I just don't go anymore, I can't think of anything easier than just not taking myself somewhere lol

It's lunch for me but I have lunch at 5pm so I guess that's considered dinner for most people. I like to eat under 300 for breakfast (10am) then have snacks like yogurt and popcorn at 12 and 3. Then I eat lunch (500-600 calories) at 5. I eat lunch so late because then I have a lot of calories left over for snacks in the…

Maybe oatmeal? There's a bunch of different stuff you can add to it, not just fruit. It's really filling too. Or you could have cereal and almond milk, one serving of each makes a bowl of cereal only 130/140 calories (even if you use cereal that isn't necessarily "healthy")

I think 15 is the most you'll be able to lose, which is still good! 2 pounds a week IS possible, but it's unlikely that you'll lose 2 pounds a week for 10 weeks straight with no fluctuations at all. I started at 150 and I'm 130 now, and I've been eating an average of 1200 a day and losing weight at different rates. One…

Rice cakes and PB2 (powdered peanut butter that you just mix with water and it ends up being 45 cal for 2 tablespoons) and granola/protein bars :)

I want one so bad but don't know how I'll ever be able to afford it! I'm 5'4 and started off at 150 pounds (my bra size was 34DDD at that time), I'm down to 130 and they have gotten smaller but I'm not sure what size I am now. I plan on getting measured when I get down to 120. Now I'm thinking about a breast lift instead…

Honestly I never felt any benefits from fasting. I felt cranky and hungry. The only benefit I got from fasting was being about to eat more food the next day without blowing my deficit. I know a lot of people do say they get benefits from it although I'm not sure what those benefits are. And I know you don't want to hear…

Eat less earlier in the day to save calories for later. Pre log your day and log snacks for the afternoon so you already have them planned out and everything. You might want to try intermittent fasting (16:8), it's where people fast for 16 hours including sleep (so if your last meal was at 8pm, you would eat again at 12pm…

Not exactly like that, but my mom posted a picture with me on her Facebook and she told me that her friends commented saying how much weight I've lost. That made me feel particularly good about myself because the only people who noticed before was my family, but I thought the only reason they noticed was because they knew…

I have a feeling you'll see a loss too. A lot of people don't lose weight when they start working out because of water retention, and your period definitely made you retain water too which could have set you back a week. There's so many factors, so people always say that if it's only been 3 weeks don't worry (especially if…

I think almost everyone does! I know that sometimes I look in the mirror and see a huge change but sometimes I look in the mirror and feel the same exact way I felt before I lost 20 pounds (150 to 130). I'm sure this was already said but progress pictures help so much. Whenever I feel like I'm putting in all this effort…

A lot of things at once. I got into the overweight category for the first time in my life. My friend took pictures of me and I just thought I looked huge and felt terrible about myself. It was the beginning of summer and I realized that I didn't want to feel terrible about myself on the beach so losing 10 pounds before…
