  • Thank you for the input. My husband & I have been adding more protein into our diet to help feel more "full" and it has been working. A lot of the advice I have received has been helpful. When I initially made this post 2 weeks ago, I was living on salad and chicken but its been way easier with the added protein and higher…
  • Patience is my struggle but I agree completely. I'm anxious to shed all the excess weight I've put on over the years lol but I know it will take time. I even had a big slice of cake yesterday as a treat for my hard work. I felt guilty about it afterwards but in the long run, it didn't impact my weight or goals. :) I think…
  • Thank you! That's a great idea ... I've noticed it already lol I lost between 2-3lbs last week but haven't lost any this week and figured it was due to the added weight routine to my workouts. I can see it in the mirror but not on the scale. I hate to sound like such a newb but do you know the best place to get a measuring…
  • I agree 1,000 cal / day is too low. I'm taking in about 1,600/day and added protein (shakes) to my post workout routine. I go with my husband and we do one muscle group a day so there's no way I could sustain 1,000 calories at this point :) Thank you!!
  • I did not take that as an attack at all. :) you were able to get your point across without being insulting. I very much appreciate constructive criticism, that's why I'm here but there were certain comments about "changing my tune" that were a little unexpected . I am new to this and do expect to make mistakes in the…
  • Honestly yea, I am a little irritated by some of the responses I've gotten. The forum is called 'Motivation and Support' and so far I've been told I'm either 'looking for a miracle pill' or reasons why what I'm doing is wrong. To address the weight issue - I've lost 3lbs in a week, and 10lbs total since my annual physical…
  • I think everyone has their own opinion of what is good and bad when it comes to dieting. I personally think a slice of pepperoni pizza or a burger from McDonald's is bad. I'm not looking at just calories, I'm concerned with sodium, sugars, and carbs. Pizza may work for one person but for me personally, I'm choosing to cut…
  • 1,000 cal/day may be too low but I'm certainty not looking for some magic pill to take the weight off. I have realistic goals and expectations and was just expressing the difficulty I was experiencing adjusting to the change that's all. I've lost 3lbs since last Sunday and I'm content with that. I am excited to get to my…
  • Well my husband considers it a cheat food lol we're both on a 1000 calorie/day plan. I was at my goal until I had the pizza which is mainly carbs and we're really trying to stay away from them. When I logged it into myfitnesspal it was over 1300 calories. :( definitely a big cheat lol
  • Yes, I've been logging in every single thing I ingest into the app. :) its very helpful! The first week is always the toughest I've heard so I'm just trying to adapt to the change. :) I ended up cheating last night with a slice of pepperoni pizza and its crazy because all week I thought I wanted it but afterwards, I felt…
  • The always being hungry is the only tortuous part. I eat salad for lunch and not even an hour later I'm hungry again. If I could eat and be filled up then it wouldn't be so challenging
  • Thank you for the words of encouragement. :) Its a huge change for me and I struggle with it everyday. I went from pizza & snacks to fish & broccoli :) its torture in the beginning lol
