Yeah, this thread really got away from the OP.

Isn't there a song by The Offspring about this?
-
Yeah, good luck, recruit! Army Strong.

I'm sure all you horror aficionados have already seen it, but I loved Cabin in the Woods.

I don't sweat nearly as much from lifting as I do from cardio. I suspect that's pretty common. You won't burn as many calories, but you should feel it if you're adequately challenging yourself with higher weights and/or reps. Like how walking down the stairs immediately after doing legs can be embarrassing. That TechnoGym…

I suppose you could mix them and do a full-body workout, but you'd probably do well to stick to the program. And the warm-up can certainly be sub'd. You should just do some kind of dynamic stretching (warm-up) before you start with any weights. I just to wide circles forward and back and do just the bar to warm up my arms…

I agree with you again. But the fear of being abducted isn't the only reason to carry, is what I'm saying. For any gender.
-
You make sense. I can't disagree with you there. But I think you're focusing on a very specific scenario of being grabbed from behind while unaware.

I know we got off topic a bit, but I just wanted to throw in a couple more cents regarding the carrying of knives. Personally, I think carrying a knife for defense is a bad idea, especially if there are other options. If you're close enough to use a knife, you're close enough for it to be taken away. I also think most…

You look much more cut. That's amazing progress. Well done!
-
I was going to say that. Specifically Wendy's fries into their frostys.
-
Yes, if I were single I would also date @MeganAM89. Am I doing this right?
-
Lol. You don't sound like a bwitch. I sent you a PM to explain.

Ah, c'mon it wasn't stupid. There's no reason to be defensive over generalizations like that. Plus, as a veteran I'll affirm that we honestly don't care if Americans take their freedoms for granted. Soldiers are trained to think of themselves as sheepdogs, which unfortunately makes civilians the sheep.

That's interesting that you'd rather try to use fine motor skills, to unzip a compartment over lifting your shirt up and pulling it out. I agree the belly band draw isn't ideal. I guess just make sure you practice with whatever you decide. Make sure the first time you do something isn't a life or death situation and all…

Who's that, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police? lol. Jk. I like cops.
-
I wouldn't call it a crush, but I think @M1ssdanni is a beautiful badass and I wish she wouldn't feel intimidated in the forums.
-
That is awesome! I don't think I've seen a derringer outside a saloon in a Western. You are a classy and well-prepared lady.
-
Apparently, there is no international superhero day. Too bad Captain Canada.
-
In the summer, when I carry without a jacket, sometimes I'll use a belly band. Feels weird at first. But let's be honest, to some it feels weird not to be carrying, too.

Wow, those got progressively less impressive. ETA - I guess, Punisher and Deadpool are my stand-out favorites.
-
I think it's appropriate that you referred to them as "hired guns." I believe that guns are not inherently bad, but you never can tell about the people aiming them.
-
I prefer to be on bottom. You can do a lot from the low ground. ETA - But I think I'd rather be on your team.
-
I kind of still want to fight because it's Friday and I'm bored. Are we splitting into teams or something later?
-
Wait, it was two years ago? Who cares now? What, are you guys keeping score or something?
-
Emotions are lame and therefore unimportant to me. I'd be more worried about catching something.
-
That just rocked my world!

Pat-on-the-back confession: I haven't flirted with anyone on MFP in like 3 weeks! (At least I don't think I have)
-
I think that just means you're open-minded. And I love the South for all the camo I get to see. It's like "Are they hunting right now, here in this store?"

From personal experience, C4 tastes much better than most protein bars.
