I am still preop, so I know nothing, but I am looking out for the future. I read this and thought it was smart. You don’t have to buy the guide. The article is enough and is free. https://www.bariatricfoodie.com/accidentally-reset-pouch-got-control-eating-capacity-appetite/

Hi everyone, My name is Michelle, and I am having VSG on Friday. I am really excited to get my tool. My stats are: 5’1.5 HW: 282 (2013) CW: 261 Day 8 of clear liquid preop diet I have been on MFP for about a year and a half. I lost about 40 pounds last year, but I gained it back. After losing and regaining several times, I…

My program also says 20 grams per meal but only in the initial phases. Plus, men and women have different requirements.

My surgery is 11/17, so I will be right behind you. The GenePro is pretty good. It barely has any taste. You are going to do great. If we continue to support each other, we are even more likely to be successful. You keep your chin up too!

Hi Sam, I am sorry you are having a rough time. I am still preop and just started my two-week clear liquid diet today. I did a test run for three days last week, and it was definitely tough, but I made it. My surgeon talked to me about the diet last week when I had my endoscopy (he does his own). He said that the preop…

I start my doctor’s clear liquid diet on Friday, and I will be traveling by plane for much of the two weeks. I did a 3.5 day trial run starting last Friday and through my EGD today. I was pretty wiped out. I ordered some B-12 patches, which my doc says is good. You could try sublingual B-12 instead. You can get it anywhere…

To add pals, click on a person's pic, then click on the little dude with a plus sign on his shoulder.

Hi, I live in Phoenix too. I can cheer for you, but I am not very stern. I am also out of town for work much of the time, but I keep up in here. We have some great people on MFP.

Welcome! I am only about a quarter of the way through my weight loss, but this is my life now, and I couldn't be happier. I am down almost 30 lbs and have 60 or so to go. I am fitter than I have been in years, and I am currently 42. We all struggle, but the most important thing I have learned is to stick with it and…

You guys are killing it!

Wonderful! You should be very proud.

I have never been, and I am sure it helps some people. I am not trying to be negative or dramatic with the relay of the contact I had with two members on a nearly daily basis for at least two years. You should go if you need or want to do so, but be careful in your choices. We used to have two secretaries in our office who…

I had a talk with my doctor about these studies the other day because, personally, I lose more if I exercise. It seems to fall off compared to dieting alone. Also, the National Weight Control Registry has been tracking successful dieters for many years. 98% modified their diet in some way and 94% increased physical…

Welcom! Sorry to hear about your difficulties, but it sounds like you are making progress. I am sure you will do great!

Well, I have run out of time. I will continue doing some each day, but my hours are too long right now. I would have to skip my walk to keep up. I will try another challenge after things settle down, which will likely be after I go to a conference in Toronto in October. This was fun while I lasted. I will keep rooting for…

My husband has had amazing results with the piriformis stretches the chiropractor gave him, but he does them religiously.

Welcome! There are plenty of supportive people here. There is also a postoperative group. I am trying it on my own once more, and so far so good, but gastric sleeve is my next stop if this doesn't stick.

I finished, barely. I am at 40 because I started early.
-
I did half. It is already 9 pm, and I have to do more work for the office. I will try to finish before bed. I am back on12-15 hour days, so I don't know what will happen next. I will keep trying though.

35 each. I am splitting them now. Too many all at once.
-
30 of each. It is definitely getting harder. I had to rest during the push-ups.

You should do what works for you. I like to do 30 minutes of cardio before breakfast when glycogen stores are low, but I always eat before I do any strength training.

Everyone who is doing a Burpee challenge is wondering the same thing. I searched it earlier in the week, and it looks like someone made a feature request, but it never happened.

Way to improvise Poppy! Love it!

I skipped yesterday due to my equipment fiasco, but I am back on today. 25 of each today. Sit-ups took the longest, and my push-ups are seriously weak, but I am not modifying, and I think that the push-ups will improve with time.

I started early because I will be on a grueling travel schedule in two weeks. I would look silly doing these at the airport. Though I did see a guy sing for like 20 minutes at a United gate recently. It was funny, I am at 25 each. It is tough but fun. The problem is that it is starting to take up too much time. For now it…

There are several almond butter entries measured in tbsp. Just look some more.
