I had two beers over the weekend and even though I really love the taste of beer, I don't think it was worth it. It doesn't do anything for my body. I'm going to see if I can go without it until January 2. Maybe I'll cut it out all together eventually.

I want to add to this: In an effort to balance the binge that I had, I didn't eat anything yesterday. For me, that was an awesome victory of self control. I got plenty of calories between the two days, so I wasn't starving myself. I would not consider starving myself a victory at all.

merriam-webster.com/dictionary/admire I'll just leave this here for anyone who wants to look at it.

I have an opinion about every person I meet and so do you, unless you're a robot. I Didn't say everyone who is obese is lying to themselves. I'm glad you've never hated your body. I don't want anyone to hate their body. I AM entitled to my opinion and and choosing whether to respect someone. Thankfully nothing you say will…

I had an excellent binge tonight! Chips and salsa, pasta salad, deer sausage, burger, hot dog, corn dog, beer, and ice cream. The victory is that I'm not depressed about it. It was just one day and I'm happy to know that I will be back on track tomorrow.

Nice Hogwarts shirt. I'm planning on rewarding myself with one of those when I hit my goal weight.

28g of cheese small but filling.

this is the message you get when you try to close your diary with less than " bare minimum "
-
Thanks for the response. Do you usually prefer a higher surplus?
-
Not until the 14th, but it is getting closer and closer to midnight. ETA: In my part of the world, that is.

I'm aware I don't know the OPs stats, which is why I did not try to pretend to know her bare minimum caloric intake. Why are you trying so hard to invalidate me, when you are the one who made an assumption with no data to support it?
-
Your bottom looks nice to me. I don't see a problem.
-
Yes, but you also said 1200 is the bare minimum Before knowing the first thing about the op's stats.

I set a goal for thanksgiving a few months ago. I totally get wanting a deadline for your goals. When I was starting out, I could lose 4.5 pounds per week with ease. I think you can do it. Just be safe and listen to your body. [Edited by MFP Staff]

Usually, but OP could be extremely short for all you know.
-
Depends on your height, weight, sex, age, and possibly other variables. ETA: also depends on how active your lifestyle is and how much you workout.

I avoided peanut butter for the same reason for a long time. I finally realized it was all in my head. It looks like a small amount, but when I eat it it's actually very filling. I totally get your reasoning though.

I'm kind to everyone until they give me a reason to not be kind, but I don't consider that respect. That's just not being a jerk.
-
We clearly have different definitions of respect. I respect people who have qualities I find admirable. If I've never met someone, I couldn't possibly know whether they have any qualities at all, much less admirable ones. Do you think humans deserve respect just for being human? I hate to break it to you, but humans are…

So, you respect people you've never met?

Which first week are you asking about? I've had a lot of first weeks...

1. That's great that they are working hard and they should definitely not have a low opinion of themselves. It would be great if nobody had a low opinion of themselves, but I know that's not possible. 2. Of course not. I never said anyone should feel depressed. I don't have a low opinion of anyone who failed at weight…

I have a low opinion of obese people who act like they don't care about their weight when they clearly do, but I had a low opinion of myself when I was obese also. I don't go around telling them that I have a low opinion of them, but the feeling is there. I agree that it is probably a projection of obese me.
-
I haven't heard any arguments against it. What's the reason it should be avoided?
-
You can't blame a person for what they are attracted to. You also don't know what has caused him to show interest in you now, unless you ask. It could be that he's impressed with the dedication and commitment that it takes to do what you did or it could be that you are showing more self confidence. It could also mean he…

Except diet mt dew is gross and has 10 calories in it, according to their 20 oz bottle. That's probably about 2 or 3 more calories than diet coke. Way to risky :p
-
Wow you look super hot even with another -40 pound goal. Keep up the good work.

This thread just makes me want beer more.

I love the chocolate peanut caramel.
