I can lose easily on 75 grams, BUT I am someone who must also watch calories. :(

Just to throw in my two cents on the topic--I often get severe night leg/foot cramps. They have been bothering me both low carb and non-low carb. I have been using the Doctor's magnesium and a potassium supplement, but have had only occasional help. Really think they happen irregardless of what supplements I use. Wish some…

Happy Belated Birthday. As mentioned above, I believe that everyone on this blog has at one time or another binged! Two things that have helped me: a) exercise: it seems to lower my appetite a bit (also noting how long it takes me to burn 100 calories (yikes!) and b) strict portion control, even with lchf foods.

I purchased those individual bags of popcorn that total 100 calories. I allow myself one bag on movie night. Sometimes I skip the popcorn and just eat a measured amount of nuts instead.

I have finally reached my goal weight!! I now allow a small amount (emphasis on small) of sweet treats per day. Since I count carbs and calories, I find that 200 calories (or less) of what I am craving, keeps me at goal and keeps the cravings at bay. Some days I do not feel strong enough to keep to the 200 calories and on…

I use the reciped above (minus the berries) and add some low carb flavorings of choice. My tub was (unused portion) in the refrigerator three weeks and then went bad. :s

Great article(s), read all three parts and learned a lot. Thanks @albertabeefy for posting it!

Well I planned for a few cheats on Thanksgiving day and happily it went as planned. Two spoons of chocolate mousse and a fork full of chocolate layer cake. Everything else was LC. So happy I did not binge on sweets! That is totally something to be thankful for!

I eat Kroger's Carbmaster brand. It does tasted like conventional yogurt, however I am not sure if it is really yogurt or as the label states: a dairy blend? whatever that is.

Finally took a deep breath and tried on a few pairs of slacks/jeans that were in the back of the closet, untouched for two year to three years. All of them now fit (albeit some are snug)!! Made my day! Truly this is home shopping without a TV :p

For me, it is always a delicate balance between calories and carbs. (Yes, I can gain keeping carbs under 20!) I don't log anymore, but I think before each meal and mentally calculate carbs and approximate calories.

Sounds like you want to invite us all? :D

Also in Camp Nothing. Most of what is served in the movies is junky, good to start a no eat habit. ENJOY THE MOVIE for the movie's sake, not for the munchies.

@cstehansen ":Since my family doesn't eat the same way I do (yet), I separated out "my" area in the cabinets and pantry and even a shelf in the fridge and don't even look at what is elsewhere." Likewise in my home: right side of pantry belongs to my high carb husband, left side is my lchf area. Similarly in fridge. Works…

If I understand the various keto docs' lectures, the fat is to "fill you up" and keep you from eating too much protein and too many carbs. In other words, don't try to reach a particular level but use it to feel satisfied with your meal. In ketosis you want to burn your "own body fat" if your goal is weight reduction.
-
I recently tried something I heard last week on the Fat Summit from the female doctor at Indiana U. Whipped cream, stevia (if needed), mascapone cheese, vanilla extract or any other non-carb flavorings of your choosing. She said she had it for a quick week day breakfast.

I second all of the above, you are definitely eating mustard :D

My cravings only somewhat subsided. I found it helpful to (a) stay away from all "favorite carbs" i.e. trigger foods and (b) remind myself what my ultimate goal was. Sometimes, in simple terms I would ask myself if nachos were worth staying at my current jean size. It's partially a mind game for sure.

Feel free to add me; however I don't log anymore, but I am close to goal and that's a good thing :)

"I've been trying to lose the same 10-15 lbs for 2-3 years and I lose 6 and gain it back.....it is just so frustrating. I'm really not looking for any sympathy I just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening! Lol" OP: I was in the same place that you mentioned above until I finally made it the NUMBER ONE priority in my life.…

Feel free to add me, personally, I'd drop the alcohol from the recipe, but I'm no cook so others would be better to make suggestions.
-
Ditto the above: low-sugar Heinz ketchup is a must on my bun-less burgers. Not too much difference from the regular.

What works best for your body is what is "right" for you. Most of us agree to keep a sharp eye on starches and sugars. We are striving in our own way(s) to better the standard American diet and thus improve our health.

Ok, I checked out the web page and now I'm hungry. May fool around with the ingredients a bit, but they look divine!!

I refuse to let a piece of machinery (very liberal interpretation of machinery) dictate my happiness or lack thereof on a daily basis. I weigh twice a week and always consider any increase as "water weight" unless I've eaten off plan. In the latter case, I accept my actions and move forward as best I can. Typing into this…

Hi!
-
Great! Thanks!

I, too, suffer from night leg cramp (both on and off LCHF). I have found a magnesium supplement helps. Doesn't entirely cure them but they are not as frequent nor as strong.

I think it's probably water weight. Wait a few days and then recheck. Also I don't think it's enough poundage to really worrry about.
