@cstehansen : As someone mentioned above, I would suggest pre-planning your meals/snacks for awhile until you feel comfortable without the planning. Taking the "thought" out of the equation might just work. Looking at a preset time and quantity for your meals and snacks and using liquids, gum, distractions, etc. to fill in…

When I purchase peanut butter I don't look at the nutrition label, I look at the ingredients listed. It should read: "peanuts, salt" That's all!

@kmn118 No one is close to me either, but eventually......

@ruffneck813 Great progess! Thanks for sharing.

Ok, my Sept. goal is to lose 2 lbs this month. I've been sitting on a plateau and looking down for a full month. Will carefully watch the carb/cal intake and if need be try 16/8 IF, perhaps twice a week.

@redimock: Hilarious!

@kensmith108: So glad you posted the pic of Best Maid juice. At first glance I thought it was a photo shopped container, but googled and found it!! Yay!! Might have to send for some.

Tongue and bread pudding are on my "no thanks list".

Too cool!

I think everyone on this forum has felt that way at some point in their journey. Just hang in there for the long run, it is a marathon and not a sprint.

I'm in as well. I am a very slow loser and if I could shed 2 lbs in Sept. I'd be happy. I am 7 lbs away from goal and just sitting there, interminably. I think 2 is doable for me.

@Shadowmf023 : Hey, nothing wrong with being 70. It's being any age and being narrow-minded.
-
@ladipoet That's exactly what works for me. 1/2 Quest cc cookie dough per day and I tell myself "That's it!" I buy a box and cut them in 1/2 immediately and put on a high pantry shelf.

@Sunny_Bunny_ Thanks for hint of using more sodium re night cramps. My cramps are intermittent but when they start again I will up the sodium and make notes. I know it sounds trivial to some, but those cramps can be terrrrrrribly painful!! Yikes!
-
@genmon00: Totally unrelated to goals, we have the same birthday!! I have approx. 7 lbs to goal, so perhaps I should try to reach it by then.
-
@LauraCoth I am so sorry you are having the cramps again. As I mentioned in other posts, I know how bad they can be. It does seem like you have tried everything. Do you stretch out your muscles as you are lying in bed trying to sleep? Sometimes before I fall asleep I will stretch out the calf muscle (toes pointed to…

A friend just got blood results that showed her glucose was high. Doctor told her she was pre-diabetic and gave her a pamphlet outlining the diet she should follow. It includes a fruit and a starch at every meal. She so whole-heartedly believes that is the correct way to proceed that I just shut my mouth. I did, however,…

@ supercar:"I do my best to not ever focus on ketosis or fat adaptation. I just try to focus on what I put in my mouth, and keep my carbs as low as possible, the rest will naturally fall into line." Amen, sister!

Personally, I never force myself to eat when I am not hungry. On this woe, my appetite comes and goes and I just enjoy those days when it is "gone."

Dr. Andreas Enfeldt (dietdoctor.com) has also written a good book: easy to understand and a fairly fast read.

Mine was somehow machine generated. I am not super, and my profile shows my age incorrectly (can't seem to change it) but anyway, it is what it is.
-
My husband never diets. He had some dental work done this week which prohibited him from eating his daily chocolate bar and now has lost 2 lbs, while still downing ice cream. I agree, not fair!!

Welcome aboard!

Cheers!

@MimiOfTheLusciousLawn : Loved your story! What brought me to LCHF/keto was that I was trapped for years trying to lose the same 15 lbs which became 20 lbs, then 25 lbs., etc., etc. I finally took a good look at what was making me gain the weight and had to admit it was a sugar addiction which also included flour based…
