  • You can add me if you like I have Bipolar and experience highs and lows and take meds for it. Happy to offer support.
  • Oh and everytime you skip one day out of plan ie you are Ill,had a meal at the restaurant, slice of birthday cake for your little one You have to start from DAY ONE all over again. Sod that if I want slice of cake I'll have a slice of cake . I had to try it for myself as I thought it's so amazing but really not worth it.
  • I 've done it and please don't waste your money. Buy his books and use recipes but work out calories in MFP his plan was such a waste of time and money. I 've spent all the time in the kitchen trying to prep food he sells it as "easy, no calorie counting " but instead you spend 5 hours trying to prepare recipe with exact…
  • Which meds are you on? I got Bipolar and I am on Quetanpine 300 mg. With lower doses I was zombified and just ate and ate, just feeling crap 24/7 ,since increase I got a bit more control. I know what you say about increases I felt sick as a dog for first 3 weeks and now I may be going to different meds all together. Be kind…
  • I haven't checked out this thread for a while but still doing good. I haven't had any chocolate/cereal bars /cake since Ash Wednesday. By not snacking mindlessly I now have more calories to use for more filling food and feel more in control . Hope everyone else is doing good .
  • 5x5 Stronglifts home gym too, feel free to add me
  • Just keep going you 're pathetic lol
  • Who keeps wooing me lol what's wrong with some people? keep pressing that little button if that's only fun you get in your free time lol
  • Thanks for that @aeloine thinking about it it's probably not best idea,I'll just do a run on a treadmill instead.
  • My weight hasn't changed in 4 weeks.4 long, miserable weeks . Well it moved by 100 grams down the other day lol and it's very frustrating but just have to keep going. It's alot easier to be motivated when you keep losing but just need to do your best to stay consistent when you see no results too. I plan to up my exercise…
  • No it's been done at community hospital and with the weekend could be days before I get a reply..
  • That's always been my downfall ,7:30 till bedtime is my weak point . What I'm finding works for me is skipping breakfast and trying to withhold until 12 ish drinking coffee and tea then having moderate lunch and decent dinner and calories for a snack or two. Once I used my allowance I try and drink water and tea . If you…
  • The only time I don't want to eat is when I don't feel well with IBS flare up. I plan my next meal while Im still eating one. First thing I do when I book a trip abroad is research local cuisine and if weekend away close by good pubs/restaurants. I eat when I'm stressed, when I'm happy, when I'm bored, when I'm excited ...I…
  • Oh please dont . He's falsely advertising no calorie counting but amount of time you spend meausuring exact ingredients for his recipes are crazy ! I wasted money on his 3 months plan and it was ridiculous. His cook books recipes are good and just as easy as in his funny Instagram videos but actual plan ....... 370 grams…
  • If I'm doing a city break I get in alot of steps everyday walking around and if on beach holiday both steps and swimming everyday so I don't do any purposeful exercise .
  • Just wait for everyone to start questioning your religious motives and woo you like I had been yesterday lol So much negativity and judgemental attitude here sometimes from grown *kitten* people it's just silly. OP I think that's a great idea, add me if you like PS I wonder if wooers yell "Wooooo " everytime they press a…
  • Don't be surprised by how much you 'll bruise to start with but it is a fun exercise. Anything that gets you moving is good I'm not sure how many calories it would burn but it is good fun. Start slow like 5 min at a time and build slowly if you haven't been been doing it for a long time.
  • Who woo'd you? Some people are so trigger happy lol . I always gain and it doesn't come off until couple of days after, I 've gone up to 5lbs and I now try not to weigh that week as it winds me up seeing undeserved gain. Not a real gain obviously and it always drops down and then some. Good on you for keeping working out I…
  • Anyways thanks to everyone who took time to share their experiences I appreciate it. I have no intention to take part in any arguments so I won't comment on those posts as I don't see the point. Thanks again
  • I am already maintaining deficit and I 've lost 5.5lbs since I 've restarted which I'm happy with . I want to learn how to discipline myself better and control my urges and ultimately look after myself better as I don't think I am doing it right if I waste 500 cal a day on chocolate and then feel hungry when I could be…
  • Thank you ! No I haven't tried them before,I'm in UK so will see if available here. That's what I hope to do,develop more discipline and look after myself a bit better .
  • And I have hard time understanding why people have a need to argue it if they have nothing to contribute. I have asked for others experiences as I haven't done 40 days before . I have fasted and gone to church since I was little so I do know the reasons behind it.I haven't been able to carry that on once I moved away and…
  • No oil is an Orthodox thing, I think -- my good friend is Greek and her family does (mostly, there are exception days) no oil, no animal products. She only does it during Holy Week and Fridays (it was her personal compromise, as she finds it very difficult), but still likes to point out how easy Catholics have it.[/quote]…
  • Thanks everyone for replies it's great to hear from so many people who have tried it. @Leeg5656 where I'm from you fast without any food for first 3 days and then only eat food you can prepare with water (no oil) for 40 days. You are allowed fish on certain days but mostly it's plain veg and bread. There is absolutely no…
  • Yes off course it can be done anytime but this is as good time as any as there will be lots of people challenging themselves . I was simply asking has anyone done it and how they got on with it I am well aware I can do this on 1st July if I want ,that wasn't the point . Thanks for your input .
  • Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday people give up something like alcohol, sweets or whatever they want to cut down really as a challenge for 40 days . I 've never done it before but yes thinking about giving it a go.
  • I would like to join in too. I want to give up chocolate and cut down on sugary stuff as much as I can.I absolutely LOVE chocolate and have it in some form few times a day so it won't be easy but I'm fed up of wasting calories on it and I want to feel more in control. Also anyone doing it feel free to add me for support
  • Thank you that all makes sense .
