Talk to your doctor! My mom passed away from stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 54. Which means there were probably polyps in her early 40s or earlier. Don't take the chance.

The hubby likes my progress but I don't bore him with stories of the mundane. My kids winded up inspired and started fitness paths on their own. So we all talk about our progress. On the other hand, I was at the gym and the owner of my gym has little clue on actual fitness and nutrition. I was cornered into a conversation…

My textbook from culinary school is my usual go to for technical stuff. I do like anything by Alton Brown or America's Test Kitchen. I like science based cooking books. I like to learn techniques over recipes.

I lost my oldest son this year, July, in a car accident. This holiday season will be difficult as I'm still adjusting to my new normal. I still have to be strong for my other kids and we are all grieving together as a family. 💜

Weight your food on a food scale. That's the only way you will know how much you are eating. 10 lbs to lose leaves very little wiggle room for error.
