Once a day, sometimes I weigh twice (when I wake up and before I go to sleep) not to log numbers or to take notice of it but I'm just a bit obsessive, I log my weight once a week on MFP and once a day on a couple other apps, I like seeing the numbers go down and I like seeing trends in graphs

I gained a lot of water after my c section and my weight didn't just drop off, I breastfed too, for some women it "melts" off for others it doesn't, it will get there

Not so much banned foods but I still have foods I tend to stay away from, my will power is strong right now but I don't want to slip up, some foods will trigger me wanting to eat more of them or have in the past so for now I'm staying away from them

I have PCOS and hypothyroid, I gained a tonne of weight after going through 5 fresh cycles of IVF and 4 frozen, followed by my pregnancy with my son, I have lost 31lbs so far and I find (always have found) if I cut or limit my carbs to the extreme minimum and avoid dairy the weight pretty much falls off, I struggle howeve…

Hi Samantha, I also have PCOS. I do always find when I eat a minimal diet of carbs that the weight really drops off, are you prescribed metformin? That also helps with the insulin resistance associated with pcos thus helping you lose weight. It might be worth reading up about the ketogenic diet, I know a lot of pcos ladies…

Good ideas, I figured a few bites here and there aren't hurting but in the long run I didn't know how much it would affect things but I'm huge on going by taste for seasoning when cooking like you said, maybe I'm being a little too over careful
-
Right, I have a 4 month old demanding little boy and my brain function isn't always what it should be and its nice to know how others battle these things or the ways they have adapted

Snack before cooking is a great idea, I do it before the grocery store but hadn't thought of it for before I cook! I've been doing the water thing a lot lately, I heard if the water is really cold then it will help you burn more calories
-
You've got a good thing going, I think also if I do myself and him a meal plan sheet for the week it will probably help me too
-
Oh I know it's true, I'm just trying to break myself of habits I guess I've had for a long time as before I didn't even realize I was doing them, I dread eating out... I will be avoiding it until I've learnt self control
-
Good idea. I think I was blind sighted from mainly starting to eat healthily myself and controlling my portions and calories and having to do his too, it would make life a lot easier to just cook roughly the same but add and remove certain things

I never knew sarcasm was a tip...

Great attitude to have! Looking forward to seeing you lose 30lbs! Keep the humour it will help at times when you can barely walk up the stairs

I too like to weigh every day, I don't use an app to workout averages but I don't take notice to fluctuations it's just interesting to me how it all works and I'm curious. Sometimes I even weigh myself at night too
