Achilles' tendonitis. The back of my right leg is deformed and always tight. I know when to rest and when I should stop. My knees bilaterally are stiff and ache. I'm concerned that I may have to move to alternative activity. I've been riding mountain bike a couple times a week for less high impact.

Congrats on your new activity. Running is a great cardio and stamina builder. Stretching and warm up is so important, as is proper shoes. It's hard to pay attention to your form while your running. It's key to staying injury free. I've read some great tips in. The blog mfp for stretching and form.

I haven't tried the roller or slant board. I'll start there. I've been hesitant to increase distance and intensity. I don't want to be side lined for any length of time. I am enjoying my runs. It's like finding a lost friend. Thanks for the help!

Peanut butter....I can eat it all day long. Most of the time I just don't buy it. It's a double edge sword though...as a train for marathons; it's the best carb to give my body fur easy calorie carb access. Sooo on the long holiday week end...a teaspoon here, there and again add up.

I've had success with utilizing three pairs of running shoes. I alternate with each run. I had to pay very specific attention to form as well. Because I have disc her nations at different levels, my posture is off. It's awful pain and can be so frustrating to your end goal. Ice ice ice was a great friend while I worked it…

I have high protein snack with lots of hydration. Protect muscles.

Outside...natural elevation and sets mood. I can get in zone and enjoy. Treadmill gets it use in winter when I'm not able to get outdoor run in.

I do! Historically I don't like to get wet in rain. But when I started to run I felt obligation to maintain my training. I would take a brella but found it got in my way and altered my concentration. Donnie I run in the rain.
