  • @bold_rabbit that's great! Glad you figured it out and it's not too complicated. You might want to post earlier in the day on the Jan 30 thread to get input there since I don't know if everyone follows the what's on your mind thread
  • @RangerRickL I'm not winner's circle this month. Started late due to vacation and lots of pass days. Looking forward to Feb!
  • yes x3 though had to use exercise calories (which is fine, I expect to be hungrier on days with two hours of exercise than on days when I just walked)
  • @bold_rabbit I'm not a long-term member so will defer to others, but I'll share from what I've seen. I know some UAC members have their weekly calories be their cutoff for pass days or not, rather than daily calories. I think this would especially apply in your situation since you are in maintenance and also have found…
  • yes x3 (barely) 11k + steps taking my students on a field trip which added more steps but also made me hungrier
  • Didn't track yesterday, yes x3 today. Story of my January haha...
  • This is a great group! I've been in the winners circle a few times before, but kind of fell off the wagon around the holidays and in January. But the group is very supportive and friendly, even if you're not doing well, and motivate you to improve. I'm excited to get back on track in February with the help of the UAC and…
  • Sad to hear about your friends. Hoping you're both doing okay. A good reminder to enjoy life while we have it. Friday was another pass for me, though 10k steps. Limping my way through January and looking forward to a clean start in February.
  • yes x3 Usually I drink wine with dinner but I've started having my workout nights be non-drinking nights. This week they were back to back days so it was nice to have an alcohol break for two nights in a row. Gonna try to keep up the healthier habit on gym days.
  • yes x3 though my fingers still feel cold from the bike ride! Ended up with 500 exercise calories overall and only ate into them a little which was nice.
  • Exercised: yes (made myself walk to the grocery store) Tracked: yes Calories: slightly over Looking forward to tomorrow and Wed since I've pre-registered for gym classes after a slothful long weekend. I love the strategy of pre-registering and biking to work with my workout clothes in my backpack to make sure I don't get…
  • Thanks to everyone who responded with great ideas for crunchy snacks / sides other than chips @Hollis100 @oldDogBiking @w8goal4life @fitlulu4150 @Anya_000 @MadisonMolly2017 @bold_rabbit @RangerRickL I totally agree that "you can't eat just one"! Below is a list I compiled from all of your suggestions combined together:…
  • Was cold rain / sleet today so didn't make it out of the house for exercise. Didn't get my 20 min but did do some push-ups and squats. Tracked but way over on calories. I'm pretty sure I need to go back to not having chips in the house. With things like sandwiches I crave something crunchy-- what are everyone's favorite…
  • Pass day. Dinner at a restaurant.
  • @readyornot1234 @Chinkiri Not gonna lie, I fell off a lot, especially with the wall clings. But it was fun and a good physical challenge :)
  • @bold_rabbit Thanks again for the insight and ideas in the message you sent!
  • yes x3 13k steps (partly because I was out late last night so got a bunch before going to sleep haha). For parkour today we focused on arms and did lots of clinging to tops of walls and hanging upside down on bars while traversing the room without touching the floor :D
  • NSV is that according to my Fitbit my resting heart rate has decreased. It went from low 70s to mid 60s this last week and a half. I'm assuming that means that my stress level has decreased and I'm living in a healthier more relaxed way!
  • yes x3 though exercise was just a short walk and some bodyweight exercises. Still confused by my Fitbit calculations. Yesterday: 8738 steps and 2074 cal burned and +228 calorie adjustment on mfp but 2 hours of extra non-step exercise Today: 8084 steps and 2020 calories burned as of 11pm and +254 calorie adjustment on mfp…
  • yes x3 today. Was under though surprised that 1+ hour of biking and an hour of parkour (logged in Fitbit as gymnastics) plus almost 9k steps (I take my watch off for parkour so sadly it won't count that hour as having any steps even though I can log it after for calories) only gave me 158 Cal according to MFP. Yet in…
  • Pass again. Why is Jan so tough for me? Did a 45 min walk but had brunch out with my husband and didn't track.
  • Interesting reading everyone's posts that today seemed to be tough for a lot of folks. Wonder if it's because it's a Saturday or something about January... Pass for me too. I did a 45+ min walk and 10k steps and tracked but was 48 cal over. Could be worse though :)
  • yes x3 Under and exercise was a short bike ride and longer walk.
  • Yesterday: pass day (date night out after the dentist) Today: well under on calories, 10k steps, and an hour of parkour. Very cardio heavy which was challenging.
  • Another pass day. Logged and was a bit over in calories. Still under maintenance, but not under my mfp limit. Didn't exercise much after being let out at 4 due to snow, though 8k steps. Did some push-ups, squats, and stretches, but sore from yesterday which was my first day back at parkour after a two-week break.
  • Thank you!
  • yes x3 Ate a lot but also exercised a lot so was under. 11k steps + hour of parkour although I hate that when I take my fitbit off for parkour and then log the hour as "gymnastics" it doesn't give me any steps even though obviously I had way more than 0 for the hour. Oh well. Currently third in my family step challenge as…
  • yes x3 Exercise of walking to get groceries and then some pushups/plank/squats/lunges exercises. Back on track!
  • Back from being home and on a diving vacation. Gained 1.5 pounds which was actually less than I expected. Today was a pass day though (technically pass day 4 due to vacation): I logged but was over on calories and didn't exercise. I guess it takes a day or two to get back into the habit of the UAC :)
  • Hi everyone, I've been a member since August of last year but left midday through December due to holidays and travel. I'm now back! Surprisingly I only gained 1.5 pounds even after a week at home and a week in Tobago on vacation. Although at home I ate a lot and didn't exercise that much, in Tobago I did a lot of walking,…
