I had my spine fused at L5 S1 and have found doing single legged movements i.e. Lunges TRX leg routine and very little weighted work has kept me from aggravating my back but most of all listening to my body.

Lifting is good to add regardless and like a lot have said if you aren't eating and training to bulk you really won't have that problem.

Squat rack, TRX and insanity program it took awhile to accumulate everything but it gives for some variety.

If you like quick and at home I love the beach body workouts insanity, p90x, etc. or daily burn which you can get on Apple TV or online. I also love Trx but can be pricey to get bit it is versatile and quick.
