1. Hit the gym at least 4 days a week. Elliptical/treadmill 2-3 days a week; swimming laps in between those days. Strength training 2 days a week. 2. More water! Invest in a jug with a sipper top or straw that has liquid measurements on it. 3. Prepare more meals at home/better meal planning. 4. More salads with protein.

-I've been doing OK with logging all my food. I need to work on it. -I've been lapsing on the water the past couple days. I'll do better tomorrow. -I joined a gym and was doing well until this week. Feeling sluggish. Ugh. -Still need to work on fruits/carbs. Again, I'll do better tomorrow. I need to kick my butt into gear,…

I've lot an average house cat, since June. Hoping for that elephant penis by January. Haha.

Two or three times a week, usually.

Make sure you are doing some good strength training (aside from your cardio) to keep your muscle mass. My weight-loss NP told me "if you don't use it, you lose it" about the muscle. Try only weighing yourself once a week, that way you'll see the loss from the whole week and hopefully feel less frustrated.

Thank you! Haha, yes. The buoyancy probably does help. Your running is impressive. Hopefully a year from now I'll be able to do some running

My recent NSV: I joined a gym (again) and this time around I no longer feel embarrassed or ashamed of my weight or working out in front of other people. It really bothered me in the past and that's likely one of the reasons that I stopped going. No one cares about what I'm doing- everyone is just there doing their own…

I had Popeye's chicken strips, fries, and 2 biscuits yesterday- they just opened one in my town, so of course I had to try it. Went over my daily calories, but oh well.

Thanks for your replies! I'm feeling OK for the most part. I'm almost to the three month mark of the six month waiting period. I joined a gym recently and I'm getting into the habit of exercising/strength training several days a week. I've lost about ten pounds since June, but losing the weight so far hasn't been easy. I…

I'm starting my third month of the six month waiting period for surgery (per my insurance). I've struggled with my weight for most of my adult life (I'm 34 now) and bariatric surgery is an option that will hopefully help me. It's a major surgery, so it wasn't an easy thing to consider, but I know that the pros outweigh the…

SW: 277 (July 8) CW: 272.2 (August 11) GW: 257 (September 12) I need to focus on my goals, tighten up my calorie intake, and hit the gym more. One month to go!

You still have to live your life, so have that beer on the river! Experience all the fun things! Just fit it in to your daily allotted calories or work those "cheats" off with exercise. However, beware of triggering a binge of badness. I find that if I eat certain treats or high calories things I'll end up eating way too…

Hi. When you start to think that you are failing, remember that tomorrow is a new day and that can always start again

Thanks for the awesome advice!

My August goals: 1. Log EVERYTHING that I eat 2. More water intake 3. Join a gym and start working out regularly 4. More fruits/less carbs
-
Amazing transformation!

Good luck! I have some questions... How long was your hospital stay? How long did your surgery take? How are you feeling now that you're home? :)

Awesome!

Super inspiring! Way to go!
