I love romaine but I also buy iceberg and I combine the two for a huge salad. I agree with above poster iceberg has crunch.

I disagree. Nutrition is never "lost" when you read the collective posts in these threads, someone will always mention nutrition. If one picks out single posts then sure some say "the only thing you need is a calorie deficit" end point. But if you read the whole thread someone will come in and say something to the effect…

Your rib cage being prominate when laying down is quite normal. It's bones compared to your stomach which is organs and can flatten a little when laying down. I'm chubby like still obese and my stomach flattens and my ribs stick out a bit when laying down.

I believe I read that the cancer rate is actually decreasing? I will have to google now. Exception colon cancer among 20 something-39 year olds is rapidly increasing for some reason. Hits close to home with 2 family members with 2 different types of colon cancer (they are sisters). ETA - death rate from cancer is actually…

Yeah I guess they would have to follow someone that say like me needs to lose 100 overall (60ish now) for some time which would be expensive I'm sure. Most studies are what 30 days?

I guess I should add...Solanum lycopersicum or Lycopersicon lycopersicum.

I live by a national park and love love walking and hiking it's my primary method of exercise. It might be hard to lose weight by just walking unless you are creating a deficit in calories. It can be done if you are not replacing the calories burned though.

To some the dressing and croutons in your salad to others the sour patch kids and still others...all three:)

Help me out here as I find these things over my head:(.... Initial weight loss meaning 10% of weight. What about the rest? Especially if you are really overweight?

In terms of taste - no In terms of satiety - no In terms of nutrition - no In terms of energy - yes

Perhaps I'm reading this wrong but I think you are missing the middle ground. Eating an overall nutritious balanced diet can include occasional less nutritious higher calorie "processed foods" which some consider unclean. No one is advocating an either or when they say you can have some foods in moderation. No one…

And hopefully your SO feels the same and you've made it clear how you feel and he/she has made their definition clear too. That is all I'm saying:).

It's cheating to one spouse but not the other. This is why I brought up the whole its good to have that conversation. Preferable before it happens. But then you have the "is viewing porn" cheating? Is "going to a strip club" cheating, is "going to lunch with a coworker of the opposite sex" cheating etc. People have…

I happen to strongly think so too, but not everyone does as your last sentence suggests. Nor does her husband, BUT that doesn't mean he can't come to a different understanding that what he did was cheating eventually.
-
Pretty much why I mentioned to discuss the definition of cheating for each of you OP. You feel its cheating he doesn't. He def knew it was hurtful since he snuck around but if he came clean on his own he may not feel its cheating. Have the conversation and see what comes out of it if your relationship is worth saving. BUT…
-
I think its important to have a conversation about "cheating" not everyone has the same definition. He may think what he did was naughty, possibly hurtful to you but not cheating. As for the second point I bolded...often times it's not about you at all. Best wishes in whatever happens!

One of my two Aussies. The other is a black tri puppy, I need to take a pic of her.

My kids heard aspartame and sugar was bad in school, couple that with my "healthy" wheat no white bread and no candy at home ( they got candy once a week when we went to the grocery store) they started a strike against diet drinks and McDonald's at a young age ( I took them there a lot:)). Add to that college and I have…

Things that work for me to curb hunger... Carb/fat/protein each meat Around 48oz water Skip breakfast 7-8 hours of sleep
-
eating breakfast for me makes me hungrier throughout the day. Also a carb/fat/protein with each meal helps along with somewhere in the neighborhood of 48 oz of water. Also 7-8 hrs of sleep. Less can cause stress hormones which cause increased hunger.

My advice is rest the knee to prevent serious injury.

Youre trying to eat at that goal give or take a few is fine. Then if you do purposeful exercise add that and eat 50-75% (estimates are usually to high). If you are using Mfp calculations by entering in your stats.

Walk first. I don't like walking on a full stomach and sometimes it can be an appetite suppressant and you may not want as much.

It's been done under controlled circumstances and proven not true by the very organization that thought science would prove it. Google Kevin Hall low carb study.

Atkins own website mentions that calories cannot be ignored. So OP I'm glad it's working for you and I hope it's a sustainable way of eating. If/when your loss slows or stall even Atkins suggest watching your calories.

OP lots of huge fit guys here on mfp and guarantee they did it without isogenix. And eat carbs. ETA- I hope they come to comment, I like looking at their pics:)

I only eat 2x a day so it's half my days worth of calories. I probably do big ones like that once a week or so. Otherwise I hear ya:).
