The only exercise I did for my 1st 20lb loss was pushing my granddaughter in a stroller at the mall for an hour 2x a week while her mom workout at the gym. Weight loss will be from eating in a calorie deficit. The walking helps of course but I'd maybe tighten up the logging?

After finding out about my TDEE I just don't eat over that amount. So although it will slow or stall my weight loss I won't gain.

I love my salads. I can get them up to 600 calories with cheese, veggie meat, beans, seeds, avocado, croutons and only 60 is calories from the dressing lol. Greek salad Taco salad Spicy Boca Chicken salad Are my go to's.

I'm impressed you put the halo top in a bowl:) I just eat out of the carton lol.

It certainly doesn't help! But it didn't stop my weight loss and in fact it goes away for most after losing weight. For me it was about 20 ish lbs.

Ive heard of some sleeping in their workout clothes.

Burn the ships!!! Figuratively:)

Sadly you can't make someone do something they don't want to do. You have a conversation with her about changes you want/are making. Tell her you'd love to do stuff together but you understand if she doesn't want to. Then you do you. Hopefully your example will nudge her but it's up to her. As a side point, for some the…

Op sounds like a fun free diet :). I think it's far more important to focus on a sustainable way of eating so you set yourself up nicely for maintaining your weight loss. If this is sustainable to you then great. If you think it might not be, I'd reconsider.
-
I'd skip to the end of the book and read about how to maintain your weight loss. If it's a way of eating that's sustainable for you then great. Most experts agree that to maintain your loss you should eat pretty much how you ate to lose. So finding a sustainable diet is far more important than finding quick weight loss, at…

Cacao and cane are plants - chocolate bar is a salad. YAY!

The one you enjoy and can stick to:).

My right boob totally has a mind of her own and likes to pop out of my bra at times:). I'm just thinking she's social and likes to say "hi" :).
-
Patience. I'm used to fad diets that makes the weight come off faster. But I try to acknowledge that this is just the way I need to eat so it's not slow its just the way it is.
-
I've seen keto, anti sugar, folks who moderate/can't moderate etc addressed as "is this sustainable" " I can't do that" a lot. I think it's an equal opportunity "mocking" :).

Poor fragile women should def not lift heavy. All sorts of strength & confidence might happen.

I don't disagree. I'm pescatarian for reasons I've not disclosed. I greatly appreciate that not one person has given me a hard time here on Mfp! But because I ask someone if they can sustain a diet doesn't make me against a "diet" It simply means I share my experience and I want others to succeed whatever they choose. I do…

You know I always say keto works. I have no beef with it! I do however want to make sure folks can sustain their diet choice. Call me crazy but I want folks to succeed. Side point vegan/vegetarians more than likely do it for religious or ethical reasons so it's hard to broach a belief system.

Yeah I tried it and two things... I burn more calories walking because I can walk further:) I tried it I was pleased I could run as far as I did and I prompty went back to walking and hiking:).
-
If you can't stick to it then it's not a sustainable way of eating which is what will set you up for maintaining your loss. Start by eating what you like to eat. You'll figure out what foods keep you satisfied and what foods are worth eating occasionally.
-
It's to the point!
-
I'd walk 20 min then take 10 and eat.
-
Here is my thought.... I don't eat above my TDEE. That way when the "diet" is on pause I won't gain.

I look at maintaining my weight loss which will be forever for me. I will have to watch what I eat always. So having that in mind it helps me stay on track pretty much. Even though I have a goal weight 70 more lbs to go,I focus on exercise goals. Walking 5ks, hiking etc. So basically today is just another day I watch what…

I've heard it takes a while for the brain to recognize the smaller size. I'm the opposite I lose 5lbs and I think I'm an instant size 0. Take pictures of yourself that usually helps you to see the difference.

My dad used to tell me nothing good happens after midnight so I'm thinking those calories must be doubled too:) Personally mfp hits a new day at midnight so I would include them as that current day. But I don't think it really matters. If it puts you over you can work it out by using your weekly calories.
-
As I mentioned there are other splits:).
-
IF is usually fasting 16 and an eating window of 8 hr but there are other splits. Yours just seems like a normal eating pattern.
-
This is how it started for me. Just keep at it! Best!!

It worked for me but it wasn't how I wanted to eat so I ended up gaining my weight back. The end goal is maintaining your weight loss so a sustainable diet is key. If you like to eat that way then it's great. If you don't think you can eat that way pretty much forever, I'd suggest just counting calories and eat the foods…
