Thanks so much for all the supportive comments. I actually felt a whole lot better for writing it down in this post and admitting my problem. Good news is that this morning I have broken the cycle and not reached for the cereal, I just need to keep this good habit going.

Thanks for this.....I have certainly always wanted to master the get up....think i have just set myself a challenge for the new year

That is so informative, thank you for taking the tome to explain that to me. I really did eat a lot of extra carbs at the weekend....but in truth they tasted sooo good

That makes perfect sense, thanks. So, would a little binge of pizza etc, when normally a balanced diet is consumed cause water weight gain?

All great responses, thanks. I am lifting at the moment, but have also been doing cardio and therefore possibly wheel spinning. It’s strange how getting things down on paper and then evaluating everyone’s responses helps you to get an answer to what goals you are trying to achieve-for me now I think I want to lean down a…

My stats are Age 36 Height 5ft4 122lbs .....maybe I should try and get to 120lbs before a bulk!?? Or maybe I am just trying to delay it

So I owe you guys a massive thank you for the input. Lots of great advice given. So, over the last couple of days I have ran a couple of 2k runs at a good pace without stopping. This morning I have completed my first ever 5k without stopping. Granted, it was at a slow pace but at a time of 36 minutes I am not ashamed at…

Thanks for your reply. I understand what you are saying!! Yeah maybe I need a kick up the rear and more accurate logging and tracking, with a calorie reduction. I follow a bikini body guide which in general follows 2 x upper 2 x lower and 1 full body. I use free weights and cable machines.

Thanks for your reply...interesting! Nope, I don't know for sure that it is carbs causing the issue, but I remember back to a few years ago when I was low carb (no bread or pasta) and I don't seem to remember having the same issue. I guess I am going to trial it for a while and see how I feel. No fibre has stayed the same…

Really appreciate all the feedback. I have progressed well since the first post was shared. Have learnt to accept fluctuations from day to day, but the scale weight has shown a slow but steady drop. Kinda feel now that I should be switching my calories up a bit in order to build muscle and lower body fat %...but that is a…

You will have an amazing time!! The amount of walking you do will definitely mean that you can treat yourself a little..I always do. When we returned in November I had only put in a couple of pounds. The menus don't include calories and nutritional info, but there are plenty of options for salads, and you can always ask…

Funny!......you know, your not making these drop sets sound appealing
-
Thanks. Just realised the program is saying double drop sets. So if I start at 12kg for 4x10 I could (if I can manage it) do 3x10 with the 12kg...and then if I start to struggle do 1x10 with 10kg..? Is that correct?

I train before breakfast..normally between 4am-6am, so I find that I am really hungry in the morning, and I love a big breakfast. I find that if I have a good breakfast I am less likely to be hungry later. I am also learning from playing around with my macros, that I want to eat more carbs in the morning too. I am no…

According to my Fitbit I seem to burn approximately 300 cals whilst in the gym. My Fitbit also tells me that my average daily calorie burn is 2200. My bf has dropped by 2% since I got the scales at Christmas. I suppose when I write it all down and think about it 2% is a decent drop in 4 weeks. I guess it could possibly be…

Sometimes I will do a hypertrophy session followed by an abs and core class. Sometimes I will some cardio or Tabata training and then go back later for a weights session. I never eat back any exercise calories, so the maximum I will ever eat will be about 1600. I have been working with weights for a long time, but only…

As in some days I will be in the gym for 2 hours. I visit the gym 6 days per week. Maybe I am not exercising excessively?? My arms, shoulders and back are very lean. The weight is all on my tummy..and it just doesn't wanna budge.

Love this..thanks for the post!

I love these guys!!! I purchased the bikini guide last year and really loved it. I saw some great results. I went on holiday in October and came back with no confidence in the gym, so now work with a pt. however, if I am in the gym without the pt I still follow the bikini guide. I also follow them on Instagram and…
