I am going to have to try them again, I stopped because it seemed like after i would drink a smoothie about an hour later i would be starving.. I am using Jay Robb protein powder, strawberries and greek yogurt smoothie. But can you just mix the protein powder with water or almond milk for less calories?

i count them under aerobics because when i take an aerobics class it is mainly lifting hand weights, squats, sit ups, etc. I think for a 30 minute session i burn about 150 calories.

I have been calorie counting since i was 14- i am now 53. It is shocking how many calories can be in something very small. It really adds up. My favorite low calorie go-to foods are pickles, greek yogurt (the 80 calorie dannon) , apples, the tuna packs that are 70 calories for the whole pack, carrots with mustard, and…

I have used Phentermine and i think it is a great drug to keep your appetite in control. Everyone is different.

I get up at 4:30 and workout from 5-6 then get my son up and off to school. I work 8-5 and get home around 6. I sometimes take an afternoon body pump class or go for a long walk with my son. Getting up early is VERY hard but I feel so much better when i do it.

What flow chart are you referring to? I dont see one.

I dont feel like you are making excuses- I understand what you are saying. I work 8-5 and with my commute I am gone from home from 7:15am-6pm.I work out before work, i get up at 4:30 and work out until 6am- I also go work out at night most nights for at least 90 mins so by the time i get home and take a shower its 8pm. I…

I can relate totally. I worked out twice yesterday, and my Garmin said i burned 700 calories. I didnt eat over 1200 calories and i gained a pound from yesterday. It is SO frustrating. I have been stuck at this weight for months and continue to work out religiously, most days multiple times. I just want to see a loss on the…

I have been making it to the gym at 5am most weekday mornings, then at 8:30 on Sat. I also take a few afternoon classes during the week as well.
-
I do this all the time. Once i almost get to where i want, I eat like a pig. I dont understand why i continue to do this to myself day after day.

I have had 11 ankle surgeries, the last one was a fusion last oct. I started out after about 6 weeks on the stationary bike wearing my boot. Nothing too strenuous. I have now built up to where i can ride for like 90 minutes on high resistance. I find that doing anything such as the elliptical too much motion on my joint.…

Omg- yes! I bought a new scale and i was 6 pounds heavier so i then replaced my old scales batteries and i was still 5 pounds over what i was before the scale died. Very frustrating!!!

spin classes are very hard on your ankle during the portion you have to stand and pedal- I tried it and could not handle it.
-
I have had 11 ankle surgeries and find that lifting heavy weight is hard on my ankle. It puts too much stress on my ankle joint. The best cardio i get is the stationary bike. It doesnt bother my ankle at all.

I have had 11 ankle surgeries and found that mat pilates has always been something i could tolerate.

I want to lose those 10 pounds sooooo bad!!! I have been stuck at 137 for months. I want to be in the 120's. I feel your pain!
-
I am a Georgia Mom of three- 25,23, and 14. the two youngest live at home. I am struggling so hard to lose 20 more pounds. I have lost 20 already but this is ridiculous. I am stuck and cannot stop eating sugar!!!

Mine is Nov. 7th also! I will be 54 this year and really want to be in the 120's by then. I would love some motivational support.
-
I have had 11 ankle surgeries and during my recoveries i tried to work out. When i would begin back taking classes i quickly learned that you just do what YOU are capable of. It doesnt matter what everyone else is doing. If you cant keep up, just do what you can do and keep at it, it will get better each time.

i have the garmin vivosmart HR and I love it- it syncs great with MFP and is pretty accurate with counting calorie burn

I got the Garmin Vivosmart HR and I love it. It tracks everything and connects to MFP great. It is pretty accurate with calorie burned when comparing to what the machine you are using says you are burning. My Only complaint, and it really isn't about the watch, but ever since I downloaded the app on my phone, other apps…

Hello everyone, I am pretty new to MFP but would love to join your group. I am 53 and am always mindful of my weight and exercise. I work out pretty much every day. I usually do at least an hour of cardio plus a body works weights class or pilates. I really want to get into lifting and strength training, I just am not sure…

OMG that is one of the most annoying things to me!! People having conversations-usually on speakerphone too- while they are working out- No one wants to hear your conversation- stop talking so freaking loud!
-
the creepy guys that sit opposite you while you are trying to do cardio and stare at you- I have had this happen multiple times, I am an older woman that does not dress up or wear make up to the gym, I go to work out hard and sweat a lot so I don't want to be stared at. This and what another poster said- someone that sits…

bread with butter and jelly! I swear I could eat an entire loaf. I try not to have bread at the house, but I have a son that takes his lunch to school so I have to buy it.

I am 5'3 and trying to get to at least 128. Right now I have been stuck around 138. I have been stuck for a few months and workout a lot. I don't eat what I should be eating though, and I keep my calorie count low. I am aiming for the 120's.

I work in a medical office and sometimes there are no patients scheduled and it can get sooooo boring. I usually stock rooms, file, do anything to keep busy. But patients are constantly bringing in snacks, sweets, plus we have free snacks and candy for patients that is available to us. It is so hard to not munch on the…

I am gonna start doing this! We have so many sweets and candy at work and I ruin my diet every day by eating sweets. I love Lullemon so this is a great idea!
