I just started a 1200 plan. After losing 43 pounds my weight loss leveled off. I realized I now have to pay attention to calories more. I have been oil free for 6 months But plan is to stick to whole foods which are typically less calorie dense and fill you up- brown rice, potatoes, giant salads etc.

My best advice is to plan ahead. There are often no vegan options when you are out and about (especially for high carb low fat vegan which for me excludes most nuts which are a great snack food). I agree that eating a lot of fruits and veg is key! I've lost 43 pounds so far by going vegan. I haven't worried about sodium at all but now that my weight loss has leveled out I may reduce sodium intake. When you eat s large volume of fruits and vegetables you stay so satisfied!
