You'd prolly have me... I'm old (50) and actually kinda suck at Arm wrestling.. lol, although, I am stronger than I look... ;-)

Friday Night gym session.

I appreciate where you're coming from on this brother. Hence the reason I said; "Generally".. I my self am attracted to "Thicker" woman, so ya, we all have our thing..
-
I like you!... for realz.. I was teasing about the "assumptions" .. I am somewhat gifted about assuming things.. Plus I like the word.. Cheers,
-
That's a lot of assumptions for one Paragraph. ;-) To me, and admittedly, I'm bias, as I am a guy, but this seems like a totally legit question. Are women not "generally" more attracted to muscular / In shape guys? Also, if I guys dedicates 2 hours a day to the gym, he's somehow not capable of being a good companion?…

I myself drink a gallon of water a day, as do most of the folks I train with. Now, that being said, I'm very active, and in the gym 6 days a week. Outside of the obvious of water intoxication, and at the risk of being a broken record, there is plenty of research to support the concept of drinking a gallon of water a day,…

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/drinking-water-helps-with-weight-loss There is a pluthora of evidence out there to support the concept that drinking lots of water supports weight loss.. This has been a well known fact in high end athletics for decades..

Straight up, that's rude. Instead of offering up something you've learned on your journey to someone who is clearly new to all of this, your 1st goto response is to be sarcastic? The responses to this post are why I rarely offer up anying in the forums. The lack of consideration for meeting people where they're at is…

Hey Brother, First, let me start by saying welcome to MFP! There are lots of great folks here, as evidenced by the response you've been getting. Barring any potential medical conditions that might be affecting your goals here what I have to offer... OK, on to the matter at hand: I too drink about a Gallon of water a day,…

For the sake of sportsmanship, I'd be willing to tie my shoelaces together or something.. ;-)

You pretty much are my weakness.... ;-)
-
Uhmmm.. prolly... I think I have a few pounds on ya... ;-)

We juice quite a bit. (no gear jokes kids) :-) The key is having a good juicer, as most of them or shite, and waste tones of product. We use a GreenStar and it's honestly amazing. When we juice the remaining Pulp is literally dry. You can't squeeze any juice out of it, where as with less expensing juicers you can squeeze…

Male - 50yrs, 6'1 - lift 4 days a week, cardio 5 days a week, with 2 being HIIT. Currently @ 225lbs (winter weight). Cut to 205lbs in the spring (12 weeks) takes me to 10-11%Bf - 1800 cal for cutting, eating approx 2/3 earned cals takes me too average of 2400+ cals for cutting. I weigh all my food.

Agreed, for the most part... A personal trainer is optimal. However, many folks find the cost prohibitive. What I haven't heard from the OP is what he is doing in terms of lifting, nor have I heard about how long they've been at this? Oh to be a new lifter again.... Great to see such great advice being offered here....

Pretty much what this gentleman said: Try out this 5x5 routine. It's a great program. https://stronglifts.com/5x5/#gref Try that out for 12 weeks, eat at least 100gm of protein a day, and after your first two weeks of going slow to get used to your program push yourself, push yourself, push yourself! Speaking from…

Hey, I might be able to help. Although, there's already some great advice here. However, I'm wondering about your current stats, and what your goals are. Age, Height, Current Weight, Goal weight, How many days lifting, what does you lifting look like? Cardio, if any? How long have you been at this? What have your results…

Congratulations on taking the 1st steps to a healthier lifestyle! Making the necessary changes isn't easy, but, you can do it! Hell, you've given birth, and raised two children, this will be nothing compared to that... ;-).. jk.. I'm 50, a father of 5, two at home still, 3 in University. As w/ many of the others here, I'm…

Pretty much this ^^^.. But, to over simplify; A push is a push, and a pull is a pull. Meaning simply this: every pushing exercise, be it bench or shoulders press works your triceps, and every "Pulling" exercise works you biceps, whether its arm curls, back day, or even deadlifts. As the gentleman point out, if you want the…

Could I beat her? Likely, but, I might take a loos for the team on this one. - ☻

First off, let me say how amazing you are for starting this!! Most people don't! It's very intimidating, and rife with anxiety. That being said, as a "gym" guy, I can tell you this with 100% certainty; If any of us were completely comfortable in a our own skin the gym would be a ghost town. The key to remember is that…

Wow, what a funny thread.. Not haha funny either... ;-) I'm not too sure where that routine came from, but as others have pointed out, it's odd, very odd.. as @sijomial suggested, 5x5 is a great place to start: https://stronglifts.com/5x5/#gref I would suggest using dumbells to do your bench pressing, or even start by…
