  • You're my hero!!! #ladycrush
  • If you dont log it, it totally doesn't count!!! Plus if it tastes good it can't possibly be bad for you...because biology and science!!
  • I want to put on as much muscle as I physically can. 2017 was all about losing fat, most of 2018 will be about building
  • Oh yeah! The Whole "muscle weighs more than fat" thing is probably why she's getting bulky haha! the cupcake probably has nothing to do with it. Lmao this is priceless!!
  • Haha no, it was 2 bags....Im having some withdrawls right now!!
  • I'm 5'8.75" and really like the 140-145lb range
  • Pb2 is an awesome substitute for peanut butter. I love peanut butter too but rarely find it worth the calories. You can get a good amount of protein from seafood, dairy, and veggies if you consciously build meals around protein. You can also find more natural shake without artificial sweeteners if you search for them
  • My all time favorite is Dymatize iso100 in chocolate peanut butter flavor (I order it on bodybuilding.com) Its super delicious and has 25g protein per 120 calories. The birthday cake flavor is yummy too! If you want a slow digesting protein to drink before bed, the same brand makes a pretty good casein but the texture of…
  • I typed out a response and lost it. In the meantime you answered some of my questions haha. So a better starting point for protein is actually 0.8-1g per pound of lean body mass (not total weight!) And at your height/bf%, your LBM is around 90lbs. A good protein range would be 72-90g per day. It helps to build meals…
  • Fake it till you make it! At first you just have to keep reminding yourself of why you started. On The days that you want to be lazy or eat all the food, tap into your reasons you started and force yourself to log your food and get moving. Pre-planning your food helps, as does having a workout routine. After a while of…
  • @ccruz985 How exciting!!! That's coming up quick! I hope you don't mind, Im sending you a friend request. I would love to hear about the process and your experience with it!!
  • @SueSueDio, thank you for the links. I've read through them before but its been a while. I actually have been strength training for 6 months or so. I'm loving it and super happy with my program but I'll find a new one in that sticky once I finish this one. And I re-read the last link. I haven't seen it in a while but it…
  • @DebLaBounty, I love your positive outlook! I really hope I can get to that point and stop being so critical of myself. Congrats on your transformation!!
  • I wish I knew I didn't have to do an extreme diet or make myself miserable during this process. I would have slowed down and enjoyed myself more
  • Putting in the effort so you don't get winded as easily is a great motivation!!! At the end of the day, everyone who decides to lose weight does so for their own personal reasons. Holding onto those reasons and thinking about what you want your life to look like in the future really helps on the days when motivation and…
  • Not everyone ends up with loose skin but trust me, its still worth it even if you do! I have plenty of it but I still wouldn't want to take back the progress to have it filled out again. Losing the weight gradually and adding in strength training can help minimize it but its still a possibility that you will have some…
  • Walking on a treadmill and making sarcasic comments here
  • If you dont enjoy it, there's defintely no reason to try to force yourself to eat a high fat/ low carb diet. At the end of the day, calorie is the king. There really isn't a right or wrong way to create your deficit (within reason!), people generally settle into what works for them. I'm glad you find moderate carbs more…
  • I usually leave room in my diary for treats but I have to keep a really close eye on it. Once I get in the habit of eating a certain food and feel like I need it, start craving it hardcore, or overindulge to the point that it messes up my macros, I just stop buying them. The cravings will hit for a few days then Im fine. I…
  • For sure!!! My husband lost a ton of weight when he decided to just cut back on soda, didn't even change his diet for the first 40lbs. When he does decide to have soda and energy drinks it always blows my mind how fast it adds up when we count his calories at the end of the day.
  • No, sorry. Most of my progress pics were lost. The before pic is actually after 3 weeks and 8lbs from when I started actively trying to lose weight. The stats were in the post above, the picture just didn't post right for some reason.
  • I dont really "cheat" because I dont focus on eating "clean" but I love pizza and burgers!!....And candy! And cookies!! And doughnuts! And ice cream! And more candy! I do eat fairly healthy for the most part so I dont have to be hungry all the time but I leave plenty of room for treats
  • [IMG]http://i66.tinypic.com/2remv5d.jpg[/IMGI'm 5'8.75". The "before" pic was from the end of May @180lbs and 40ish% body fat. The "after" is today @ 148lbs and 24.5ish% body fat. I would like to eventually get down to 140lbs and 20% body fat[/img]
  • Have you tried increasing protein in your meals? Powders are easy and convenient supplements but really aren't necessary. I personally don't think it would be worth the tummy aches. I ususally exceed my protein goal (which is high to begin with) by building my meals around high protein food. Greek yougart and eggs for…
  • I've learned that if you decide to lose weight because your insecure about the way you look, you still have to make a conscious effort to build self esteem and try to be confident in your own skin. Losing fat doesn't automatically make you confident. I'm basically to my goal weight and still fixate hard on my flaws. I have…
  • I confess...sometimes I go over my calories on late night indulgences and log them in my diary for the following day. *kitten* you, tomorrow me!!!
  • We have 2 "big boy" 50lb plates that have a substantially larger circumference than the 25lb plates. I used to squat and deadlift with them but after taking so much time off, my husband is the only one who has been using them. About 2 months ago, I attempted deadlifting with them when my husband had the bar loaded and I…
