  • Hi All - yesterday's workout was trimming the tree in the front yard for about 2 hours. I enjoy doing this, but the tree has major thorns on it. I have lots of scratches all over me...........ouch! Today, I went for a 27 minute jog and went very slow. I tried to focus on form (without tripping on my dogs). It is really…

  • Tomorrow is day 1. Remember, this is ONLY for 10 days! It's not an entire month, summer, or year. It's 10 measly days out of 365 days. That's only 2.7% of the year that we are asked to take care of ourselves (I teach math....I love numbers). I am writing this because I need to psych myself up for this......binge eating at…
  • Hey lovely ladies - today was another weight and swim day. This morning, I did STS disk 5 (back/tricep) and a 35 minutes swim (1000 yards). I am feeling pretty good and trying to eat better, too. I watched a few videos on running techniques, and boy oh boy, no wonder my body hurts for days afterwards. I've been landing on…
  • I am in! I am not sure if I will "lose weight" because I am lifting heavy. But, if I can control my diet for just 10 days, I may lose fat and gain muscle. I want to lose inches in my belly area. It's my diet that is killing me! Grrrr..... Starting weight: 152.9 Long term GW: 140 For 10 day challenge, GW: 149 5'4" female…
  • Hi Ladies - Today was STS Disk 4 (chest/bicep/shoulders) and I swam a little over half a mile today. It felt SO good to be in the pool. As always, my mind is at ease for the rest of the day after swimming. I posted on my page that I want to start training for a MINI triathlon; not sure if you saw it. I hate running and…
  • Hi ladies - I wanted to drop by and see how ya'll are doing. As always, you ladies have been so busy! Thing here are going really well. I am picking back up with STS after taking a break due to school. I stopped at week 12 of our 16 week rotation. I am going to pick back up next week which is predominately total body…
  • Good morning ladies - I hope ya'll are doing well. Last week, on Thursday, I made it to a Bikram express class (I have one month left on my membership). Friday/Saturday was treadmill workout, yesterday was S&S Ramped Up Upper body with abs, and this morning was STS disk 9 (legs). When I first joined you ladies, I wasn't a…
  • You can definitely get in shape by working out at home. There are tons of workouts that you can do. I agree with the above (FitnessBlender and Darebee). That is great that you use a watermelon for a medicine ball. If you can, get some bags and fill them up with sand/dirt. Use what you can. There are tons of body weight…
  • Hi All - This week's rotation is doing Meso 1. Monday, I did back/tri and yesterday was chest/bicep/shoulders (I think it was disk 11 and 13). Today was supposed to be legs, but I chose to get on the treadmill at an incline instead. Tami - Fantastic workouts! The bootcamp class sounded tough.....I like the idea of AMRAP.…
  • Quick update - I did a mishmosh premix from ICE Bootcamp last night. It was the 71 minute routine that had muscle meltdown (biceps) and blizzard blast included, and all abs were at the end. It was so awesome! I loved this workout. I wish I had tried that one sooner. I hope your weekend is going well.
  • I tore my ACL 22 years ago, avoided surgery by working out and building muscle around the knee until 14 years ago. I had to get surgery after a 2nd injury. I can't recommend enough to meet with a physical therapist and get recommendation from him/her. I am not a doctor, but these are the things my physical therapist had me…
  • Hi Ladies - This week has been "Heavy" for my part of the rotation, and I have enjoyed it (of course). I have done all upper body workouts from Meso 3, but I chose to do Gym Style legs today instead of the plyo workouts. I had no desire to do any plyo today. Last week was all full body workouts every other day. I was able…
  • Good morning ladies - yesterday, I was able to get the yoga class in. Today, for my full body workout, I am debating between PHA and Power Hour. I am still trying to wake up (it's almost 4am) and so I will see if my body is awake enough to do PHA. If not, then my other option is always my favorite. Laurel - it's great to…
  • Good morning ladies - No workouts this past weekend, but lots of walking occurred because of the Easter weekend. This week, the rotation week I am on is full body workouts. So, yesterday was ICE Metabolic. Today, if I can get my butt off of MFP and reading everything, will be ICE Rock'm Sock'm and yoga at 9am. Thelma -…
  • Good morning ladies - I think that I will be popping in and out of here (as you can tell now) due to my schedule really changing. But, I don't want to lose full contact with you all, so I hope you don't mind the pop ins. I am absolutely loving this rotation and am thanking Laurie every day when I do my next workout. I have…
  • Good evening ladies - My travels to Chicago were good. I arrived yesterday and immediately went for a walk around the town. I needed to move from the plane right. Today, I got up and did a 30 minute bicep/shoulder/tricep workout with some plyo moves in between. I plan to go again tomorrow morning and try to get at least 45…
  • Hi everyone - also missing the group. I hope ya'll are doing well. @cardbucfan - if you get a chance, post here and let us know that all is ok. Please take care of yourself. @katharmonic - safe travels to your conference. I am in Chicago for a conference myself. It's gorgeous here; I am loving the colder weather.…
  • Good morning ladies - yesterday, I did STS plyo leg workout, yoga and an hour of walking. I should have worked out this morning, but I chose to sit and have a cup of coffee and just "be". I leave for Chicago tomorrow for a 4 day conference, and I am a little nervous about the trip. I am presenting and the two other folks I…
  • Alright - I am going to finally get time to catch up with you all. I haven't been faithful with the rotation, but I am definitely doing what I can and am really enjoying going from a light week (last week) to a heavy week (this week is heavy). Last week consisted of workouts from Meso 1 and yoga, and Sunday/Tuesday, I did…
  • Hi Ladies - I am here.....I promise! I need to read 24 posts to catch up. Just wanted to say hi. I am getting my workouts in, but I have been incredibly busy with work and the kids lately. I hope to read and catch up soon. Becky
  • Good evening ladies - so, I messed up the rotation. I woke up this morning thinking it was a full body workout and tomorrow was supposed to be cardio. After my workout (S & S: PHA training), I opened my workout sheet and saw today was supposed to be cardio. Oh well.....PHA has a cardio component. So, I will be switching…
  • Bwah ha ha.....I am loving all the pics, especially the cat with "oh god....I think I peed little". Great job everyone. I am so happy to have been part of this group. I hope that another challenge comes with the Amazing Race. I know this takes a lot of time and effort on MissionEnforcer and Hawkins410, so THANK YOU! This…
  • Vowder - I hope your son is doing ok. That is a bummer that your computer crashed, but it is fun to get a new one (except the cost). ;) @katharmonic - I love that you are calculating the points......the math teacher in me is so happy! :D I can't believe we are so close to being over! Great job everyone!
  • @Vowder - make sure to include why you chose that challenge.....your points may not count if you don't include "why".
