Good morning ladies - It's been a great vacation and tomorrow is back to work. :( Since my last post, my workouts have consisted of STS disk 30, S & S Cardio Slam and I am about to go and do disk 31. As I start to get towards the end of STS rotation, I am thinking about my next rotation. I will definitely keep STS in it,…

@BJerzy - which house are you in? I forgot that you were in it, too. It is a fun challenge. Great job only having a 2 lb net gain. A few weeks back, you weren't feeling motivated with this at all. How are you now that holidays are over? I am trying to eat more protein to stay more full. I am always hungry and this seems to…

Amazing and so COOL to see the changes. Fantastic job!

Hi Ladies - Thursday was S & S Bootcamp, Friday was STS #28 (back/chest), yesterday was buckram yoga and today was STS #29 (plyo leg). The S & S bootcamp was really good - definitely like the 2 S & S workouts I have tried so far. Not sure why, but I liked today's plyo leg workout so much better than disk 26. Thelma - you…

Hi all - I hope you have a wonderful New Year's Eve tomorrow. Here's to a new year.

I have two MFP friends that swear by this program. They, like me, love Shock Training System (STS) by Cathe Friedrich. Two of them just finished Beach Body and really enjoyed it.

I have been checking this thread during the holiday, and team 3 was the only one not posting. I am so happy to see you all posting again. How is everyone doing? Did you have a good Christmas? My working out has been great but eating has been terrible. Ughhhh..... @enuf200 - The snow sounds beautiful and that is DEFINITELY…

Thelma - I found info online about the workout you are doing.....disregard my questions about ufc fit. :)

Good evening ladies - Today was disk 27 (shoulders, triceps and back), and I also went to the trampoline park and bounced around with the kids for 2 hours. That was fun. Today is my middle child's 10th bday, and he had a great time. He wanted to go to Red Robin for dinner, so we just returned from there and had some…

Hi all - I hope you are enjoying your Christmas break and doing well. On Saturday, I tried S & S Cardio Slam + abs routine - it was definitely an advanced workout. I had to modify some of the jumps, but I was dripping with sweat by the end and very tired - it was wonderful! Yesterday, I did STS disk 26 (plyo legs). I…

Not sure what exactly was done with your knee, and I hope it continues to get better and stronger. I injured mine 22 years ago and avoided surgery by keeping muscles around knee strong (torn ACL). It was reinjured 14 years ago and I had to get surgery. PT was amazing and to this day, I have to continue my exercises to keep…

Hi Ladies - I saw that Thelma posted that she did a workout from Strong and Sweaty, so I ran to my mailbox and the DVD set is in! YES! I think I will try the cardio one from that set tomorrow since today was disk 25 (back/chest). I see why there is a much longer rest in between sets for Meso #3. I was so excited that I…

Hi Penn! I am so happy you posted your story. You are definitely an encouragement for me.

Wow! Fantastic job.

Thank you for sharing this with us. This is incredibly inspiring.

Hi Ladies - This morning was a fun combo for me. I did disk 24 (bicep/back) which was only about 45 minutes. I had more energy to burn and decided to get some cardio in by doing the timesaver blizzard blast #1 from Rock'm Sock'm. The combo of weights and cardio was much needed today. Laurie - Great job venturing out into…

Good afternoon all - yesterday was disk 23 (legs) - I am a little sore today due to using some heavier weights and it's wonderful! Today is lots of walking and I am looking forward to #24 tomorrow morning. I got the email from Cathe stating that a shipment is coming my way. I am so excited! I am like a kid at Christmas!…

Feel free to add me. These last 10-12 lbs are a bear. If you only log food and don't comment, please don't add. Looking for support, not just "under calories for day ".

Thank you for sharing. This is very encouraging.

Hi ladies - I can't believe Christmas is in another week! Yikes! So, since my last post, I haven't done a lot of working out. My family and I left for Legoland on Wednesday and returned last night (I gave my last final on Tuesday and now have 3 weeks off). It was a much needed vacation for us. With my DH working nights, we…

Good morning ladies - students are taking a final exam, so I am wanting to catch up with all the fantastic workouts you have been doing. Since my last post, I have completed STS disks 19, 20 and 21, done some yoga and a ton of walking. Two days ago, I did the ICE MishMosh #2 from bootcamp dvd (it includes bicep workout and…

Hello Team 3 - This week was the start of my boys flag football practice, and they are 4 nights a week. So, this is the time in my life where balancing work, family, and health start to get a little hard. BUT, I walk all 4 nights during the practices, so I get a lot of steps in. The part that I struggle with is eating well…

Hi Ladies - Yesterday, I was able to sneak away from work and get a bikram yoga class in. Today was disk 18 of STS (biceps/back). My boys started flag football this week. Brett has practice Mon/Fri and Josh has practice T/Th, so I'll be adding in 60-90 minute walks 4 days a week, too. Last night was a 60 minute walk and we…

Hi Team - I will be redoing last week for my challenge. I enjoyed the dancing, steps and staying under calories. I need to continue to stay under calories with Christmas and both of my sons bdays coming. I know I will indulge those days. :) I love the info shared about the destination every week. I am sure it takes a lot…

Hi Ladies - This past week, I was able to get disks 15, 16 and 17 complete along with yoga and tabata/pilates classes. I am so excited as to how much stronger my back is becoming. I have never really focused on my back (just what Power Hour did and Slow and Heavy). My swimming always took care of my back workouts, too.…

Sorry you are frustrated right now. A few folks are setting their mfp numbers to "maintaining" for the holidays and have found that a lot easier physically and mentally. It might help you with not wanting to give up and staying in the habit of logging onto mfp through the holidays. Again, just a suggestion.
