  • Me too! I'm starting to understand what people meant when they talked about the"exercise high." Plus my arms (and, not to be prideful, but my boobs!) look awesome! I started 2 weeks ago every other day and my bras are SO much more comfortable!
  • I think cutting calories, but balancing carbs, fats, and protein, works best for me. I tried cutting my carbs this week and felt sluggish and awful. I tend to increase my protein when I cut calories because I like the full feeling I can get from low calorie, high protein snacks like Greek yogurt.
  • Think about this: one year will go by. It's a guarantee. And if you lost even one pound during those weeks, you'll be 50 pounds lighter! Try picking up a 50 pound bag of sand. • It sucks carrying 238 pounds on your body on a run in the heat. But it sucked more carrying 244. And it's gonna feel easy when it's 163. And an ice pack in your sports bra is both accepted and genius.
  • Me too! SW:244, CW: 238, GW: 163. My short term goal was a 20 pound loss by Halloween, but it's only week one and I've already lost 6. Now that I'm meticulously logging my food, I realize I was probably eating 5000 calories a day without realizing it.
  • Honestly, on day 4 of this journey. But I know I'll do it this time. It feels different. I climbed a 280 foot sand dune at 244 pounds. And I'm going back next year, and I'll be in the 100's, and I won't feel the paranoia that someone will need to call EMS by the time I reach the top. That damn sand dune is my motivation.
