  • Happy Wednesday! I've been thinking it's Thursday all day, so to see it's still Wednesday makes me sad. Finally completed my food diary from the beginning to the end of the day yesterday, for the first time in absolute ages. Usually I stop counting after work because I calculate out my dinner and take mental note of how…
  • I also usually go for the cinnamon dolce latte, or a skinny mocha light frap. 140 for a grande!
  • Calny- They do. I think it's only a temporary side-effect (should last about 2-3 weeks?) but in the mean time I can be absolutely physically starving but have no desire mentally to eat. I have to eat at pre-planned times, or mentally force myself if for no reason other than getting my stomach to stop hurting. I'm looking…
  • You've got this!! The most important thing to remember is that motivation is short-term, but discipline is what is going to get you there. You're gonna have a huge boost of motivation for the next week, but then you eventually won't feel like going to the gym, you'll want all the high-calorie foods, and that is totally…
  • 5'8/152lbs. I vary between a 6 and an 8 depending on brand
  • At 410 calories a muffin if it's something you'd really like, I'd recommend doing it in a healthy way! Get one, and cut it in half. Put half in a baggie in the freezer, and have the other half for breakfast. Defrost the second half overnight and have it for breakfast the next day  205 cal once a day isn't awful!…
  • When I joined MFP I had 25lbs left to go... that one is pretty obvious.
  • Breakfast was three eggo waffles with fake 'lite' syrup. I'm not proud  But on my new meds I'm eating so little that I figure it'll all even out in the end. Lunch is the banquet 'chicken fried chicken' meal. I just cover it in chipotle tabasco and it's not half bad. I didn't feel like meal prep this week, and since…
  • Definitely look into couples therapy, but make sure that you have time alone with the therapist. That way you can let them in on the issues you're experiencing that your husband won't tell them. I wish you the best. x
  • Eat at home first! That way you don't have the same experience as going grocery shopping hungry... never leads to anything good. Have a big, filling, low-cal meal at home, lots of water, and then have a little bit of everything you want. If you're still hungry, you could go big on fruits/veggies.
  • Yeah, it's mad expensive to eat out. I'll go for special occasions, or maybe hit up a food truck, but anything more than $10 a person and it's usually not worth it haha.
  • Do I count if I JUST moved out of NE? Grew up in CT, went to school in VT, lived in NH for a bit, and just moved to TX in June.
  • Me! I'm on the forums M-F and I'm trying to log everything every day this month.
  • Hi Lana! I'm totally open to talking about it. In High School, I was on Concerta, and then a higher dose of concerta, and then at the beginning of college I was on Ritalin. My doctor this time put me on Evekeo 5mg. I noticed huge differences in my budgeting when I was on meds vs when I wasn't, and my boredom and…
  • Good morning, all! I'm finally on the ADD meds I should be on (quit for 2 years.. regretted it!) , so my impulse control should be rising and my appetite should be falling. It's also anxiety management, so stress eating should minimize as well. Maybe I have some hope at working off these last 25, now that that issue is…
  • Yes! I'm basically down to my last 20. I've been maintaining in the 25-to-go range.
  • My favorite is something I heard recently on a reddit thread: "Motivation will get you going, Discipline will get you there"
  • What kind of work-out can you do? Can you go on walks? Can you do pilates? I've found that the Blogilates Beginner's calendar is a great place to start-- it slowly builds muscle, and there are modified moves for when you're like "Yeah.. I literally can't bend that way!" Also it's totally free. You can do it on the floor in…
  • Noooope. I started my puppy sleeping in her crate for potty training reasons, and I can't even get her to stay still long enough to cuddle on the couch with me, so I can just imagine how trying to share a bed with her would go!
  • 1) Pack my lunch and snacks every day! I want to spend $0 while at work, except in case of emergency (or if I forget my lunch, or get super hangry) 2) Don't keep beer in the house. If I want some, I'll have to make the (semi-obnoxious and mosquito-laden) trek to the nearest pub, and then spend $6 a pop, which I won't do 3)…
  • I fit things in instead of having cheat days. I might have woken up and eaten one of those pre-made cookie batter things (that you just pull off the paper sheet and put in the oven) before I even had breakfast. Eat it, enjoy it, log it.
  • I use the "Mainstays Digital Bamboo Scale" from Walmart. It's like $19, and works great. And the best scale I've found is the "Sunbeam Dial Floor Scale, SAB602DQ-05" from Walmart. The first few times you use it you have to turn the dial back down to 0 before you use it again, but after then you don't have to adjust it back…
  • Since you're breastfeeding, I would check with your doctor to make sure that you're getting enough calories to adequately sustain you and your baby. Once you have that, make the important food choices- protein, minimal carb, lots of veggies to get you to feel full. Craving a snack? For the same calories in 13 takis fuego…
  • I have a pair of size 6 shorts up on my wall... they're so cute, I'm gonna look super fab in them. I can technically fit into them, but I look like I have the world's biggest muffin top when I do, and it's hard to breathe! Haha But that's my mini-goal.
  • I do nothing but sabotage myself most days! Sometimes I can't help it, like the days I want to go running but by the time I get home I'm anxious and exhausted from work and I can't. With unmedicated ADD (I'm working on the 'unmedicated' part...), working a boring desk job is probably the worst thing in the world and causes…
  • Usually when I'm super stressed out I either try to eat something low-cal like popcorn (Skinnypop makes a great white cheddar one...) or try to just drink a diet soda instead. Sometimes it's the sweetness/swallowing/hand-to-mouth action I want instead of actual food, so getting a large diet rootbeer at the nearest Wendy's…
  • Are you weighing out your food? You'd be surprised how much your measurements can be off if you don't!
  • I just found out I live ten minutes from a krispy kreme... SO yeah, let's go with this fact is 110% true.
  • My four month old baby girl, my corgi Pebbles. This is her after swimming this past weekend. Definitely apprehensive about the whole water thing. But also my best buddy and always down for a walk (when it's not over 100F out!)
  • Ugh, I'm certainly trying to log regularly! You're welcome to be my friend. Also, it seems like you live in Texas based on your username? I'm in austin!
