Just keep with it. Make sure you're doing everything right-- weigh out your food, drink that water, get in your exercise, and if your calorie goal hasn't changed recently, update it. (in MFP go into diary settings and change your weight goal to maintenance, exit the app, and then change it back to 1 or 2 pounds. That'll…

I'd start asking for your bill to be separate from theirs. Easy to do, and they can't complain because then they'd be admitting that they expect you to pay part of their bill.
-
I weigh myself every morning (If I remember) and log it in a separate app. I only log new lows in MFP. It's actually comforting for me because I know what is water weight and what isn't haha

Do you go to a gym that has a professional scale that you could try out, to make sure the new one isn't wrong? I'd say stick with the new one, though. It might be throwing things 'out of whack' mentally but you just need to accept that regardless of the number, your body has not changed one single bit. You feel the same…

I had a garmin Car GPS that was terrible (always thought I was on top of buildings?) but lasted years and years until someone stole it out of my car. Then my s/o erroneously left the replacement in a suitcase which sat outside his family home by the trash (in the north east) for well over a year until his mom was throwing…

Yeah, I went through four fitbits (2 Flex 2 charge HR). The first flex stopped charging, the second stopped responding to taps, the first Charge HR only charged for seconds at a time, and the second had a broken button that kept switching into exercise mode randomly. The second one also had the wrist strap peeling up above…

Rad. I wouldn't quite be going that fancy-- I've only got about $100 to spend overall-- but it's good to hear that their customer service is on point. FitBit's is too, but I'm sick of having to talk to them haha Impressive endorsement! That's the one I'm getting, I think. I was going to go get it at Best Buy so I could…

You don't want to be eating less than 1200! Really, I know it's tempting but I've seen the long-term effects on the metabolism (and the mind!) first-hand. Make sure you're putting 1200 calories in your mouth every day-- what you work off is up to you, but I think if you bump up your intake to 1200, and then eat back half…

My go-to was homemade popcorn with salt and cajun seasoning! It's good for when you just want a lot of that hand-to-mouth motion without a ton of calories.

Only person I would be able to share it with is my s/o, who is v. meticulously meal planned and would not be down for a cheesy dinner substitution. But I've been thinking jalapeno poppers.. that might hit the right spot. :o

Are you weighing out every gram of food that you eat?

I use mine often for slow cooker refried beans (delish) and white rice (1c white rice, 1c water, 1 min on high pressure, natural release for 20 minutes). It's basically a convenience machine because it's not saving me any time but I no longer wind up with burned rice or opaque rice water all over my stove, so I'm happy. I…

* Cook dry pasta * Put it in a bowl, put butter on it, and then let it go lukewarm * Add salt and pepper * Put Kraft Parmesan Cheese all over the top * Pour lemon juice on top of that, and work to get the right proportion so that the cheese and lemon forms a kind of paste that sticks to the pasta * Enjoy That's 90% of my…

That's what I've been doing most of the time. It's just so range inducing to see this keep happening! I dunno about the 'seeing the light' part, she's been at this for years. She tried keto, a grapefruit diet, etc.. anything to avoid counting calories. Maybe one day... And yeah, I tried to bring up that that was the issue.…

Weighed myself and realized I was one pound into the overweight BMI range. I literally said out loud "Well THAT'S not allowed!" and downloaded MFP.

Confession time: as a child I knew I wasn't allowed to eat salt straight, and I knew I wasn't allowed to eat sugar straight, so when my parents were both gone sometimes I'd mix the two together and eat it. It tasted AWFUL, but the rebellion factor was sweet. That's what I always think of when I think of bad food from my…

Stick to it for a month, and be an inspiration for my bf to get his diet and macros in check!

Vanity sizing is insane nowadays. I had my current body comp when I was in High School (~7 years ago) and I was an 8 or 10 in jeans. I think my prom dress was an 8.5. Now, only 4ish pounds lighter, I'm a size 4 or 6, sometimes a 2 depending on the store.

Or step on out of fascination at how much weight you gained overnight, and wonder if you secretly ate 25000 calories in your sleep.
-
7-9 pounds more. Which is insane because I'm only 150 to start with, so I'm literally taking on an extra 4-5% of my body weight for a few days. My body just flips out and holds every bit of water I take in, I guess. I just don't weigh myself that week, lest I have a heart attack.

I'm down to my last 15-20, depending on how I feel when I get there. Add me!

Dominos Bacon Jalapeno cheesy bread.. Ok, it's still delicious, but I had one the other day and not only felt like trash afterwards, but didn't feel clean again until I had taken a long shower and cleaned my entire apartment. Also sweet yogurts. They're like candy, minus all the delicious bits. Gross.

Lack of discipline. People always say that motivation gets you started, and discipline handles the rest. And that's exactly what you're experiencing here. Granted, I have the same issue. I can't get started when I'm not motivated, and I can't keep going forever.

Polling the room, here... banana/egg pancakes.. anyone made them in advance and frozen them? Does it work?

Add me, guys!

I'm kind of in the same camp. They're fine, but there are some people who just eat a salted avocado for breakfast.. even if I wasn't mildly allergic, I'd still find that unappetizing.

Wow, pls don't get so aggressive over someone else's choices. Food quality over food quantity, my homie.
-
Gotta eat to take my meds on the weekdays, and on the weekends I'm usually hiking 7+ miles in the early morning so not eating before that would end poorly for me I think... I've totally considered that, though.

What's the texture of ezekiel bread like? I hear people raving about it, but also it's sprouted grains, right? So is it stringy? I'm scared haha. Ooo, cookinglight has a banana version....

If you want a frugal option for that, my boyfriend roasts a 6lb chicken each week, cleans the meat off, freezes half, and just eats from it all week. And then you can make chicken stock with the bones. It's super easy, just pair it with any pre-made veg you happen to have.
