I love my Vibrams, definitely the best running shoe I've ever owned (for me at least). Which reminds me I need to order a new pair or two.

Hi, I'd like to join. I'm trying to slowly up my mileage and I think this would be great motivation. June mileage goal: 50 miles, run 3 days a week

My husband signed me up for his company's 5k fun run today, funny thing is it's tomorrow lol. Oh well, I'll crayfish afterwards so I'm not complaining.

5'0" here. I practice 5:2, so I eat around 1400 on my normal days and 700 on my two lower days. I want to lose 15-20 lbs more. My starting weight was 120 and my goal initial goal was 98 but I going to see how I feel at 100 before I go any lower.

No it's not, it's intermittent fasting with a meal plan pretty much. http://www.defensenutrition.com/the-warrior-diet-2/ http://www.lifejacks.com/warrior-diet-well-founded-intermittent-fasting-plan/ https://www.diet.com/g/warrior-diet…

I like my Nike+ Run Club app. I can set it for an indoor/treadmill run or an outdoor/track run, it tracks the mileage on my shoes, and it connects easily to my HR monitor. I also like the voice feedback during my runs, it's pretty encouraging.

HARD LOVE NEEDTOBREATHE Trading punches with the heart of darkness Going to blows with your fear incarnate Never gone until it's stripped away A part of you has gotta die today In the morning you gon' need an answer Ain't nobody gonna change the standard It's not enough to just feel the flame You've gotta burn your old…

Stay at the job you're at. I know it's part time but after you quit they're going to call you in 6 months and want you to work full time anyways and you're going to accept but it'll cut out all the aggravation if you just stay. You'll probably end up being put on full time a lot sooner if you do too!!!!

Hey, I'm a regular 5-10k runner. I'm slowly getting in to longer distances and have a marathon planned for next March to keep me motivated and focused on a goal. I log pretty regularly, sometimes I forget and miss a meal or two but I try to go in the next day and fill any blanks. Add me if you want :).
-
How was it, I want to do the one next year in March. It'll be my first Marathon. To help me train for it I'm working on strengthening my 10k time and then I'm going work from there. I have a Fair 10K in July, an 8 mile trail run in October, and the Magnolia Half in in November planned. Then I'll run the Rock n Roll New…

I'm training for my first marathon, planned for next March. I haven't scheduled any yet, but I'll probably add in a few small races before then to help me train.

Thanks ya'll this is all great information, very helpful . I'm actually a bit excited to get started.

Even though I don't run really long distances, I do run a lot, so I change my shoes pretty regularly and I have a brand of running socks I like that I regularly stock up on about every few months or so. I'll have to look for that group on here. Thanks :).

The last 10k race I ran I came in just over 40 min. Most days I can get through a 5k in about 25 min. at a relaxed pace. My small town holds a few races during the spring and summer but they're mainly 5 and 10k races. I'd have to travel some for anything longer but it'd only be about a 20 - 50 mile drive to the ones that…

What's working that you will continue this month? Logging daily and exercising. I find that if I log everyday and am as truthful as possible with my logging, and workout at least 1 hr. (total per week) my weigh loss is pretty consistent. Do you have any new plans to incorporate this month? I found a yoga app that looks…

I follow 5:2, but I don't really consider it a "diet". Instead it's more of a eating style or plan, a way for me to reach a sustainable deficit and reach my goals. I couldn't do the 500 on lower calorie days, so I tweaked it to fit me by adjusting my regular calories days and upping my lower calorie days to 700-800, so I'd…

This is my third week as well, but since I had used 5:2 as my eating guide before it wasn't as bad starting out this time around. I haven't participated in many of the threads in the group yet, but I love reading about how everyone is doing and what's going on with everyone in the weekly thread, it's very encouraging. I'll…

I've always wanted to do it, but funny thing is I'm afraid of the ocean lol. So it's one of those be adventurous and conquer my fear kind of thing. I'm afraid of heights as well, but not as much as I used to be after my husband got me to go rock climbing a few times. Definitely something I'd do again.

Run a half-marathon Run a marathon Lift half my body weight Lift my body weight These last three are more to feed my adventurous side than about fitness goals but they do require me to be quite fit to complete them. Hike every trail/mountain/volcano out there (in the US and around the world) Walk the Great Wall Dive the…

Tuesday: Split days 2&3 of LWD & FW in half doing two sets of each exercise. Wednesday: Rest day Thursday: Doing days 5&6 of LWD and days 4&6 of FW. Will split those in half as well and do two sets.

Used day 1 from both LBD & FW as my warm up for my run. Restarted C210K today, feeling really good. Tomorrow I'll do day 2 & 3 of both challenges. :)
-
I'm going to try to do both. Since I do alternate my strength and cardio days, would be acceptable if I did two days in one, that way I can get the full challenge done?

Namee: Kris Age: 26 Height: 5'0" Current Weight: 116 Challenge Goal Weight: 112 Ultimate Goal Weigh: 105-100 (I was at 110 before gaining about 10lbs back, I've lost some of it, but I'd like to get down a little bit lower. I want to get down to 105 before and see how I feel there before I go any lower though.) My…

This is my favorite part of the whole post lol. I workout at home so I don't have to worry, or care, if someone is judging me or if they think i'm judging them. Of course I know not everyone has the space or money for the equipment to workout at home, so I know this will help a lot of other people feel better about going…

I'm wanting to lose 15 to 20, I'm going to see how I feel after losing 10 more pounds before I try to lose any more though. I'm trying to get back in the habit of working out but at the moment I'm stuck in a rut and just can't seem to find the motivation to get out of it. I'm getting there though, slowly but surely. Add me…

I'm MOH for my best friends wedding in April. Just found out the date last weekend so now I have 7 weeks to find a dress for the wedding. She kind of just sprung it on all of us (there are four bridesmaids including myself) but she just found out she's pregnant so she wants to have the wedding before she starts to show.…
