Why is it worrying you? Are you not eating enough to be healthy? If you are not eating enough simply eat some more. If you're eating enough and unsure what to do with the excess calories left over then you could bank them for say a weekend splurge. Or you could not eat them and get quicker weight loss results. Your choice.

So long as it is part of a balanced diet, yes it is healthy and good for you. It's a great source of good fats (poly unsaturated and mono unsaturated) and protein. Though bare in mine it does contain some saturated fat also, so try to keep track of how much you're eating to not eat too much. They are also a good source of…

Of course with that attitude you won't. If you want advice you need to give us more information.

Since I don't eat breakfast (yes my doctor approved it and no it isn't hurting my metabolism) I can afford to have my lunches and dinner up to 400 calories each rather than 300 and then just fill the rest of the calories with snacks. Honestly it's different for everyone. Some people get on better with eating big meals,…

Weight loss is about calories in vs calories out (eating at a calorie deficit causes weight loss). Eating 800-900 calories means you probably aren't in taking enough nutrition wise and this could lead to problems down the line. You should up it to at least 1000-1200 if not more depending on your activity level and TDEE.…

As someone who is soon to graduate in Biomedicine, it is so painstakingly clear you don't understand what you are talking about. I'm not trying to be patronising or bring you down. But your not understanding the facts or misinterpreting science and data does not make it wrong. It makes you wrong. I'm sorry but everything…

If you don't know how many calories you are consuming in a day you cannot know if you are in a calorie deficit, and you need to be at a calorie deficit in order to lose weight. Start tracking your food accurately to see where you truly stand

Hey :) I'm 4'9 and congrats on your weightloss you've come a long way. ignore other peoples comments and do what you want to do. Anywho, hard to say what size you will be. Especially with your height, everyone is a bit different in terms of shape and size so it is impossible to say. Even when Overweight I was still a UK…

I'm sorry but it is physically and biologically impossible to spot reduce fat (except obviously with liposuction). Numerous scientific studies have found certain exercises and exercising the specific area to have 0 affect at targeting weight loss to that area. The only option is to keep loosing weight overall and hope it…

Unfortunately it is biologically impossible to spot reduce fat (except of course liposuction). So the only way to flatten your stomach will be to continue to lose weight overall and hope it comes off your stomach. You can do as many ab crunches as you like, but you won't see them while there is fat still there (and in…

My mum is nearly 200lbs (though bare in mind she is only 5ft if not shorter). Been trying to get her to take weight loss seriously for yonks. She's in such ill health it's upsetting. :(

I'm so jealous of you Americans for having Halo top and Arctic 0. We don't have anything like that in the UK. The least amount of calories you're going to find in a pint of "ice cream" over here is around 5-600.
-
Sorry I'm from the UK, we use ml here. Never used a fl oz in my life. Best best bet is to see when you get there how big the servings are and how many you drink. extrapolate from that using a known amount of calories in a certain volume of wine how many calories you consumed.
-
I'm sorry but no, it's not possible to burn off a specific source of calories (not sat fat, not carbs not protein etc). You don't get to decide that. That's not how it works biologically.

I don't think people arguing against there being no need to restrict a large number of foods in order to lose weight are talking at all about restricting because of a health condition. Those are clearly 2 very different things. one is necessary (such as removing foods you are allergic to, intolerant to or that aggravates a…

This. There is so much pseudoscience in this thread. As someone soon to be certified as a Biomedical scientist reading this nonsense really makes me weep. haha.

I was under the impression these places/ events don't give you full glasses of wines? Just about a mouthful of each wine and you're supposed to spit it out anyway (or else you may get a bit drunk). So I should imagine the calories if not swallowing the wine would be negligible

That food looks amazing. Feel free to invite me next time! haha.

I'd not thought of it before either to be honest.

I'm really not sure. I've liked a lot of the fitness pictures people have put up. But I don't want particularly defined abs or arm muscles. I wouldn't mind a little definition, but I don't want anything that looks really quite defined. A lot of the pictures I looked I know wouldn't be attainable for me, particularly the…

Have you reduced your daily calorie goal? The less you weigh the less calories you burn. So you need to eat less to be at the same deficit as you were when heavier.
-
This. I always find the people who say "I can't gain weight" or "I can't lose weight" have absolutely no idea how many calories they need nor how many calories they are eating.

As above it could be an increase in water retention from salt in change in diet.
