Woke up with a nasty sinus headache this morning. The thought of pounding pavement is horrible right now. This may be a rest day or maybe I can do a few rounds of 15 minutes just to get something in. I guess we will wait and see how well the Claritin works. Happy Friday Eve, everyone!

I didn't plan on yesterday being a rest day, but I was having a bit of a temper tantrum about my weight and decided I would show my diet who's boss and not run (yeah, I know. Not the most grown up response). Any I was back at it this morning and feel much better. School starts tomorrow for my oldest, he will be a senior.…

Took it easy today and the hubby and I took our 4-legged kids for a brisk walk. Hoping to do it again this evening. They were some pooped pups.

End of the first week in August: 8/3 (started late): 1.79 8/4: rest (lazy) 8/5: 1.77 8/6: 3.5 All miles in the month of August (and maybe September) will be on the treadmill. The humidity in south Louisiana is miserable. Plus it's not so it intimidating in my house.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I have a C25K app too but can't get through all the running intervals yet. I know this will change with time, but patience isn't something I do well. :smiley:

Well, it's been a slow start but my goal is still doable. Logged in 1.75 miles this morning.

Ok! I am determined to become a runner and am hoping this will get me started. I have set a goal of 40 miles this month. I hope walking can be included because I know I can't run all of that yet. [img][/img]

I'm in. This is my first challenge as well as my first post! Looking to get back on track after a miserable year. So glad I found these boards. Knowing I'm not alone in my struggles helps so much.
