I would tell myself at night tomorrow I'll start losing weight. I kept saying I need to lose weight and 1day a coworker said walk at lunch with them. So I did, it started me on that…

Hey Pearso Just a tip keep the weight off for yourself. The reason I say that is because when I was 42 I let my weight creep up there (and up there and up there). Now I'm working to get it all off, wishing that I had not let it happen in the first place. I see you and your husband are from Mich. I lived and work there for…

Hey JJR8115 You can add me if you want. Do the Drs. tell you that you are under weight or do you just want to put on weight? You are at an age where your system will be slowing down and you may start putting on weight without trying to put it on. I'm saying this from experience one yr. I was 10lbs. over the next yr. up…

I lost 40lbs. walking at a very fast pace half hr. to 45min. everyday. You are still moving the same amount of weight so your leg muscles are burning fat. As you drop more weight maybe you can use just use one. Your body will not be in a up and down impact. Giving you the breathing room you may need.

Hey Chris I to am a type 2 diabetic and I'm 62 going to be 63. I was very active myself until age 42 had stroke or Drs. called it a (T.I.A.). I was in the gym most of my life until T.I.A. Drs. told me to stop my heavy weight lifting because my heart had enlarged from the heavy weights. That was my drive in life so I quit…

Why? If this person said they are doing or eating and not losing why are you questioning them. I know what they are saying could be going on. Last year I was hitting the gym 3-4 times a week and watching what I eat. By the end of the year, I was about the same weight as when I started. I got discouraged and was backing off…

I'm new here to, but I've always been a encourager to people around me. I'll give you as much encouragement as I can, but you say you have zero accountability. That's were I can't help you,…

How's that old saying, If I knew then what I know now I'd be in better shape. I've found that out first hand and playing catch up. But I think now that I can see my calories before they hit my lips. Thanks to MFP calories counter I can plan out what I'm going to eat. For a year I was eating things that I thought were good…

That was one of my weight gainers, I would get up at night and graze until full. Sometimes 2 or 3 times a night my wife would ask me who eat all the little Debbie's. I'd say something funny like those little elfs but I see now it wasn't funny. My sugar became so out of control it wasn't funny anymore. Dr. said my kidney's…

From what I'm reading it sounds like Adkins diet. Low carbs and high fat and protein. I still have ketone strips in my cupboard from my Adkins diet. I guess what ever works to get you to your goals. But we do live in a new and improved world. There isn't any magic pill out there only hard work to meet your goals. But what…

Hey Misscarpainter First thing you should ask yourself is do I like everything about this guy. How he act when something bad happens, does he party to much, do you like his friend? Are there a few things that you'd like to change about him? I've seen many relationships go bad because him/or her wants to change that person.…

Hey cjuneau69 The way to state your long term weight is 70-80lbs. But keep your short term at 5-10lbs that way you don't get discouraged. You'll do much better at smaller bites from your goal of that larger number. But you can do it, it only takes 1 second to make up your mind. There are many people here for the same…

Hey Arditarose If I can tell you anything about heavy weight lifting is DON'T FORGET CARDIO. I did heavy weight lifting for 20yrs. without CARDIO. Hey stubborn weight As my Dr. told me it may be due to muscle gain if you have less body fat. Just don't get discouraged and give up. I've been there, giving up is never the answer.

Hey there I've learned not to say I need to lose 50 to 70lbs. I started last January 2015 with the goal to lose 50 to 70lbs by the next year, as of January 2015 I had lost 15lbs. Then in Feb I became discouraged and unmotivated and slacking off. My dr. had told me that I was building muscle because of the weight training…
