I have kind of a weird situation. I had gastric bypass a year ago so I have to have at least 50% of my calories from protein. I'm not sure exactly what to take that is still light.

I've loved hiking since well my first hike was when I was 2 years old down and up a canyon. The only way I made it my parents said is they kept bribing me with Dr Pepper lol. But I have been overweight all my life so it limited everything I did. I've lost 130 in the last year and have about 65 more to lose. I want to be…

Awesome advice. I want to do a family backpacking trip as a reward for my weight loss this past year. Ive lost 130 so far and still have to lose another 65. My family are experienced backpackers and I hike and camp a lot but until I lost this weight I couldn't go in very far or over very rough ground but I want to do…

Not truly a hike hike besides having to hike the miles around the town but a notable place to go if you are near Yosemite is the ghost town of Bodie. I took my kids, mom, and 4 fur babies there over Memorial Day weekend and it was awesome. The only downside was no one said anything about the biting mites that are attracted…

I have a quick question. I'm thinking of switching protein. I see you use Syntrax. Does it taste good? Have you tried the fruit varieties??

I get the beginnings of it when my RX isn't filled in time. It only takes a day or two. My surgeon said I would be on this for life. Is it different with other surgeons? I was told without it GB patients will cause permanent damage..now I'm wondering ..

Hi. Had RNY June of 2015 and I have spent the last few months in the same spot. But now I'm commited to losing the last 65 pounds ... I had so many complications that I think I needed a vacation from thinking about it so much. I would love if you added me. Thanks

1. Stop being so hard on myself 2. More water 3. Less snacking 4. Log everything I eat 5. Start exercising religiously 6. Increase my protein

I walk and have a very labor intensive job. But I found a great site I'm joining that has potential called Nerd Fitness. I'm going to start doing some basic body weight exercises at home. Walk as much as I can. Then when I'm closer to goal I'm going to try Crossfit and start working towards doing 5ks.

Yes. I live with my mom, sister, and 2 kids. None of them want or choose to eat healthy. I had gastric bypass 13 months ago and I'm noticing I'm falling into my old habits because I'm around them. So I've decided to just do it for me but it's hard when I have to balance out my groceries to feed all of us and they don't…

I made thai peanut pinwheels today. 2 large whole grain or low carb tortillas or whatever you have. **The large flavored tortillas are great too 1/2 cup of low fat cream cheese or neufie cheese 3 T of Thai Peanut sauce ( make your own or I bought mine at the store) 2 cups of cooked chunked chicken breast ( I cooked mine in…

I have a very active job where I'm hauling parts, stacking or putting away tires or batteries. I'm constantly on my feet but the actual physical activity is sporadic. So I may get 20 mins then down time for 20 or so minutes. What I'm wondering is it cummulative or does it have to be consecutive? I commute over an hour one…
