Go to your local bike store and get your bike professionally fit for you. Then you'll be much more comfortable when you ride.

Buy an aqua jogging belt . It will keep you upright in the water.Then you can walk/ jog in the pool without weight bearing, it will also help with ROM. Make sure you get clearance from your doc. Good luck! I'm approaching two years since I had ORIF surgery on my ankle! There is definitely a light at the end of the tunnel!

My mom is 67 years old and still runs! I say go for it! Start with couch to 5k! Good luck!

Yes! Plate and 8 screws on my ankle. I did PT for a year to get back into running! Keep at it, go slow, do your exercises your PT gives you. I walked a lot and swam to build up to running. I broke my ankle two years ago and just ran an 8:27 mile last night!I'm faster now than I was then! Probably because of my bionic ankle!

Also, you don't know if it's an infection. You may not need two weeks off. And I would just jump back to where you are on the plan.

Take the rest you need to get better. Don't worry about losing training days. It happens. Life happens. Better to train in a healthy state and get the most out of your runs than to train when sick.

Eww! If your toenails are long, cut them. Toenails long enough to create a hole in your shoe have got to be pretty long. Also, that must be painful.

Stop running. You don't want to further injure yourself. Shin splints can turn into stress fractures. I would also see a dr and get a referral to a physical therapist. When you go back to running, don't do too much too soon. Your PT can tell you how to ease back into running.

Well I love my HIIT/interval class! It's not boring, keeps me engaged, keeps me fit and helps with day to day life (lifting, running up the stairs, etc), and helps support the other sports I enjoy: swim, bike and run! Plus I've met some great people while attending class!

After about 3 weeks post ankle surgery I got in the water and did some very light swimming and aqua jogging. However, I was guide by a doctor before I went to the pool. Check with the doc first!

I have more time in the evening to work out. I have to be at work by 7:15 am. My gym doesn't have showers so I would have to drive to the gym, back home and then to work.
