Painful hardware in ankle?
I broke my ankle in 2015 and had a plate and 8 screws in the distal fibula. It's taken a long time to get where I'm at today. I go to an orange theory like gym where we do strength and running intervals on the tread . I love it! I've lost most of the weight I gained recovering from my injury and I feel great! Occasionally…

Concerned and frustrated
2 years ago I broke my ankle and had a plate and 8 screws put in to repair the fracture. After a year of PT and working toward running, I've been running for about a year, virtually pain free. That is until yesterday I went out for an easy 6 miles and around mile 2.5 my ankle started hurting every time I took a step. I…

Swimming!
I have been consistently swimming for months. Swam over Memorial Day weekend and that's about it. My friend and I decided to sign up for an open water race last night. I did the 1/2 mile. Wasn't expecting much, just a fun night. But I got 4th place out of 24, with a time of 15:06! It is kind of re-energizing the need for…

Weights, interval training and swimming
I've been a swimmer my whole life. I haven't been swimming really at all in months. For the past year I've been going to an "orange theory" like gym. I love it! I'm stronger faster, leaner and more efficient. My pool just opened up and i did some workouts this weekend. Today I averaged a 1:21 per 100 yards pace! I felt…

Heavy period
My periods are pretty heavy for about 24 hours and my dr didn't see too concerned. I go through several tampns and pads that get soaked through. It's so heavy I don't like to work out for at least a day. Even though I want to and working out generally helps my cramps etc. but I know I'll leak through, it's happened before.…

So bummed
I was going to do a 5k this morning with a polar bear plunge at the end. It snowed about 4 inches over night (we rarely get snow). So I'm not going. The run is on trail and it gets slippery. I'm so afraid I'll hurt myself again (May 2015 broke my ankle). I'm sure there will be another 5 k in the next several weeks, bit…

I don't know if you can tell...
But I've lost 7 pounds, 4 inches off my waist, 2 inches off chest, 3 inches off hips,2 inches off glutes , 2 inches off shoulders. I've radically changed my diet, I don't calorie count and I take HiIT classes 3-4 times a week. This loss was over two months!
