Ahem ... Taco Bell fans: http://www.foodbeast.com/news/taco-bell-has-low-key-become-one-of-americas-healthiest-fast-food-chains/

Nice job!!!
-
Just have to update this ... a month or so later and I LOVE deadlifts! Lol - got the form (mostly) down and I am increasing the weight. It's fun and it makes me feel powerful to lift heavy stuff and set it back down. ;-)
-
Just got home from a work trip so tonight was Digiorno frozen pizza ... fits in my calories!
-
I love lifting (though I am not very good yet). Love walking, hiking, HIIT, tennis. Not a swimmer or runner but there are so many other choices!
-
What are your current stats? Height/current weight/goal weight? Are you weighing all solid foods with a food scale (not cups or eyeballing?) The only thing that matters for weight loss is a calorie deficit. If you aren't losing, most likely you aren't in one.

Great work!!

Lots of good choices at Taco Bell! http://www.businessinsider.com/taco-bell-is-now-one-of-americas-healthiest-fast-food-chains-2016-10

Maybe don't buy those items for a while until you break the habit?
-
I'd add - don't do knee push-ups. They don't build what you will need long-term. Wall, counter, stairs ... gradually lower your starting height but stay on your toes. And working on general weight loss/strength will help, too!
-
That's awesome! I hate running - ran a quarter mile this week and it reminded me why I hate it! Lol - but I admire people who can do a mile!!
-
Log everything! That is the one truth. Lol
-
5 lbs a week is not doable. What is your height and current weight? What is your goal weight? Have you plugged your stats into MFP to get a recommendation? Depending on your current weight and amount of loss needed, you may be looking at anywhere from .5 to 2 lbs/week.
-
I can pass on sweets all day ... but put good cheese or a charcuterie tray in front of me and I could down a week's worth of calories at once!
-
Roasted Brussels sprouts are an epiphany (coming from someone who gagged on boiled ones!)
-
You can do it! I am 39 ... 40 in a couple months. Lost 110 lbs over the past 2 years and met my goal of being able to do push-ups and climb the rope before 40. The 20-somethings might have youth on their side, but we can be determined! Stick with it.

I am sometimes baffled by these threads where people freak out over gaining a tenth of a pound or even a pound "overnight." My weight fluctuates up to five lbs in a day sometimes ... due to many factors as you mentioned. For me, I "officially" weigh once every other week (same place/conditions) because I view this as a…

Take a breath and prepare for a long journey. 3 weeks is is not nearly enough time ... for many reasons already mentioned. Make sure you are weighing everything on a food scale and that you understand what reasonable, sustainable weight loss looks like for your height/weight. There are some great threads here!

Wow. Just wow. Well done. You look great!
-
You got this! My motto has been "Keep showing up and good things will happen." Meaning, stick with it. Start small and manageable and before you know it, you will see changes!
-
Being cold all the time!
-
That looks awesome!
-
A little of both? Lol - bragging about how good it was and how I could eat it every day. ;-)
-
Food related? Once I ate 6 bowls of cream of chicken soup from the cafeteria. Then I puked outside. Lol (probably not what you were going for!)
-
That's great! It's where I am, too. I bought a whole bunch of nice work clothes when I dropped from sz 22 to 16. Waste of money! Just tried some on to see if I could salvage any ... they literally fell off. I am in 10s mostly now, too. Congrats!!

I have used mostly free weights but find a great place for some machines like the lat band pull down and the tricep dip machine and cable machine where I can have counter weight. If your gym offers a free training session or you can book a paid session with the trainer it might be worth it to give you a plan to follow to…

Many people will chime in but weight loss comes from a calorie deficit. Exercise is not necessary (from a purely CICO standpoint). But it can provide mental and physical health benefits as well as making more calorie consumption possible. The best exercise is one you enjoy and will stick with!
-
And remember, you didn't gain weight overnight ... you won't lose it overnight. It may take a few months for you to see a difference, but stay the course. I lost 100lbs + over 2 years ... slow and steady and SUSTAINABLE! Good luck!
-
Well, my gym is about 3 miles from my house but I drive straight from work during the week ... which is 14 miles. Worth it!

My favorite is spinach/kale mix, frozen blueberries, unsweetened almond milk, cinnamon and sometimes flax or chia seeds.
