  • One at a time, yes :). Seriously, though, I'm a tech geek so am going to take a shot at figuring this out I think that there is more than one person out there who can make each of us happy. Let's say it's 1 in 1,000. However, for that person, there's also someone to make them happy and the odds are also 1 in 1,000 that…
  • I'm not vegan full-time but eat a vegan diet about 2-3 day a week. A couple of my favorite easy to make recipes are: Chili 2 cups black beans cooked 2 cups pinto beans cooked 1 onion 1 bell pepper 2 cans tomato sauce 2 tbsp olive oil Chili spices as desired Salt to taste 4 cups brown rice Chop and cook the onion and bell…
  • For chicken, no. I do buy free range just because I'm an animal lover. However, I ALWAYS buy organization c berries because he pesticides used on berries, especially strawberries, are particularly nasty
  • Sopes are Mexican corn cakes that are kind of like thick tortillas with the ends rolled up. They're really high in fiber. I buy them at a Mexican grocery store, but you can also make them with corn masa or probably find them in a large grocery store.
  • Feel free to add me. Knowing people are looking is keeping me honest this time!
  • There's a Salvadoran restaurant in my neighborhood where two people can get two pupusas, rice, refried beans, curtido, fried plantains with sour cream, and a beer each for $15. OMG it is SO good and authentic--cooked by the cutest little old ladies from El Salvador who are all, of course, quite overweight. The restaurant…
  • Vodka on the rocks with a spanish olive for taste. ~100 calories.

  • July and August in San Francisco are cold and foggy. I ride my bike up to San Bruno Mountain (1100' elevation) as often as I can and end up ABOVE the fog. It's a nice reward for a moderately difficult ride. The 15 minute pure downhill coast to get back home at sea level is pretty nice too. Without the fog
  • Yes, but since I've lost weight I don't have that problem anymore
  • Whoever does the invite should pay. However, the guest should offer to pay at which point the original inviter says "thanks, but this is my treat, I insist."
  • I walk about five miles every day, but am trying to throw in some running intervals to amp it up a bit. However, just increasing my walking from a mile a day to five miles has helped me lose about 20 pounds so far. Lost 9 since joining this site, and 11 before that. I also do upper body strength training twice a week,…

  • Tonight it's pasta shells (spinach, wheat and plain mixed), lots of grilled veggies in 1 tbsp olive oil mixed in (carrots, spinach, tomatoes, onion, mushroom), an Aidell's chicken italian sausage, 1/4 cup shredded cheddar and some spices.
  • About 25years ago I was in a fire and suffered second degree burns (no scars luckily). The room I was in had a gas leak and exploded. I thought I was going to die but the things I'd always been told--your life will flash will before your eyes, you'll suddenly believe in god again, etc.--didn't happen. Instead I just…
  • Meh -- more yuck than yum Sashimi
  • Here's some of my favorite restaurant meals (took these photos at restaurants): Raw ahi tuna with avocado and strawberries Lunchtime Dim Sum for two Crab salad
  • I don't have a tat to show but have a fun story about tats. I was selected as a potential juror for a Federal case against the Mexican drug cartels. We were given numbers instead of our names because it was considered dangerous to have them know who we were. We had to fill out a long questionnaire with our attitudes about…

  • When I was in my twenties I was never satisfied because that's, somewhat, the nature of youth. Now that I'm older I'm deeply satisfied because I realize there are very few things we can directly control. I no longer care about whether I "fit in" or not--I have friends and family to love and who love me, have enough…
  • Bicycling is my favorite. I'm weird in that I like urban biking. I live in SF, CA which is very hilly and crowded, but it's possible to cycle all year and there's a network of bike paths connecting almost the entire city. I *LOVE* to head out on my bike early Sunday morning while the rest of the city is still sleeping and…
  • One of my favorite vegan meals is brown rice, broccoli, curry sauce and LOTS of cashews. Use a coconut milk based curry sauce for even more calories.
  • The other answers about fiber, etc. are good, as is the suggestion to drink coffee. If you're eating a lot of fiber, though, and not getting enough water or liquids that could cause constipation also. Another thing to think of, is constipation a side effect of any medication you're taking? Iron can cause constipation if…
  • I couldn't lose weight without my five calorie Minute Maid Lemonade. Now if they could just invent a calorie free stout beer that didn't taste like s***.
  • No HYE owned more than one dog at once?
  • If you mean Netflix original, then it's House of Cards hands down. If you mean just something on Netflix, then for sure American Horror Story season 2 and Nurse Jackie are both favs.
  • * I'm not good at reading body language * I need a lot of time to myself * I have wicked insomnia which can be good early in a relationship but not so much later on  *
  • Several here: 1. I *LOVE* real Vermont maple syrup (lived in Vermont for awhile) so use it on Belgian waffles occasionally. 2. Real cheese. I like all kinds of interesting cheeses and still buy them, just try to limit them to 1-2 ounces a day. My current favorite is Old Croc Australian Extra Sharp Cheddar--a tiny bit goes…
  • On weekends, I like to have one Noah's bagel (290 calories) with an ounce of lox (100) calories and two tablespoons of cream cheese (100 calories), a slice of tomato (3 calories), a tbsp of capers (2 calories) and a slice of red onion (4 calories)--a 500 calorie breakfast--and the bike it off with an hour of bike riding.
  • Unsweetened iced tea if it's before 3 p.m., otherwise Minute Maid 5 calorie lemonade if they have it, or diet root beer, or water.
