Plastic surgery: Yes and no. Had a deviated septum so they fixed it to open up my breathing. The side effect is that it also looks better but it wasn't "plastic surgery" for appearance per se. Have you ever ridden a bike more than 50 miles?

Pickles are a great salty snack ESPECIALLY if you can get them from a real deli vs. in a jar. The deli ones are much crisper and fresher. I like curtido, which is Salvadoran coleslaw made without mayo so it's got almost no calories but is nice and salty. @kommodevaran: I can relate. When I was a kid my uncle, who is a…

I'm not a super fan of raw vegetables but found that I can find a way to cook most of them that makes them very tasty. If you like fruit, start with the sweeter vegetables like tomatoes (technically a fruit), carrots, sweet potatoes, and beets. I've read that you have to eat a food you don't like 7-8 times to acquire a…

Thanks all. @Wishfuljune the swimming is a great idea--I love swimming as it seems to relax your entire body afterwards. I agree the weight program needs to be upped a bit--it's mostly two full body weight workouts for 45 minutes--the problem is I would just rather be OUTSIDE than inside a gym. Might look into one of the…

My all time favorite meal is seared Ahi tuna. Fortunately, it's pretty healthy (other than the mercury  ). For cheat meals, though, I love any kind of pasta and sauce and/or burritos.
