  • A three “yes” day. Managed a short walk, although the roads were icy and after nearly wiping out a few times, turned around for home after just 1/2 mile.
  • @LazyBlondeChef - very interesting article. I’ve not heard of that hormone before. The point about how eating junk triggers the hunger pain response while eating healthy does not, is so so true. It’s like a circle for me. The more healthy I eat, the healthier I want to eat, the less I eat, the better I feel, the healthier…
  • Big deal, your grandma got run over by a reindeer. You aren’t going to believe what happened to my grandma.
  • Woohoo I actually made it outside for a walk today. Fresh, cold air felt great! It was a 3 yes day. That makes 2 for the month.
  • @MadisonMolly2017 - Tracked yes Under cals no Exercise no I’m starting to wonder if I have Covid after all. I feel like I have a cold, but apparently that’s exactly the Omicron symptoms. I woke up during the night feeling like I was going to cough up a lung. I actually feel fine, but have a cough and shnozzy nose. No…
  • @slimtastesbetter - you get the perseverance award! Way to go!
  • Tracked - yes Under - no Exercise - no This cold is on the tail end so I’ll be exercising again in a day or two. Pass day #4
  • @victorious55 - “Most healthy stuff are so filling that there is so much that you can eat.” I’m revisiting a book that I’ve had for about 10 years, read, incorporated for awhile, then abandoned. My nephew sent it to me because heart disease runs rampant in our family. One of the things the author talks about is how, if you…
  • Excellent visual @victorious55. This has been a lesson hard learned for me. I think partly because I was just being stubborn. I only recently changed my mindset to NOT eat back calories burned. I have my settings set as active which give me enough calories to feel satisfied. If I do go for a long bike ride or exceptionally…
  • Tracked - yes Under cals - yes Exercise - no Pass day #4
  • @Jana_2020 - your post today was so perfect! I absolutely love your quote: "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good." So very true. Thank you for sharing this.
  • Tracking consistently is still a work-in-progress for me. I’ll be really good for awhile, then have a few days when I stop before getting back at it. I’m in one of those pauses right now so I’m committing to getting back at it TODAY. My biggest problem is not wanting to enter everything when I do go off the rails. And that…
  • Off topic, but a couple months my daughter and I bought tickets to the Van Gogh Immersive in Chicago for today. I know it’s showing in many other cities. If you haven’t seen it, GO! It’s absolutely mesmerizing. My 3rd pass day today.
  • Another pass day for me. This is classic for me. I do really well for awhile, and then 1 or 2 days of slipping up and it’s hard to get back on track. I’ll get there. Not beating myself up. It’s just part of the process. It both explains why my weight loss is so slow and why Ive managed to keep off what I’ve lost. I do have…
  • @Winner_in_Life - I’m so sorry about your husband. Sending hugs to you. Welcome to all the newbies. You’ve joined a fantastic group! I’ve been on the UAC since 1/1/21, and on MFP on and off for a few years. The UAC is honestly the best group I’ve joined because it focuses on the basics of success. That said, my weight loss…
  • Started the year with a pass day, as I expected. My day was filled with 17 family for brunch and our Christmas party. It was so much fun. The best part was listening to my 3 daughters reminisce about their childhood. We were having such a good time, talking, laughing, playing games. Another beautiful moment was finding my…
  • @SummerSkier - I can’t bookmark anything anymore. I just get an error message.
  • @Mrs_Hoffer - looks like you have some blanks for content. I’ll pick up one of those, date does not matter - you choose.
  • No winners circle for me. 5 pass days. But overall happy with the year.
  • @mshawski - kudos to you for seeking out professional help and also for being smart enough to sniff out bogus advice. @MadisonMolly2017 - your comment about the cardiologist reminded me of my visit early this year. It was my first time meeting him, as recommended by my primary care doctor because of family history. He was…

  • @jamcnewman - WOW - that’s cold. We have had an unusually warm winter so far with only a couple inches of snow. I actually wish we’d get some snow - just not 20 inches at once. Well, it’s amazing how quickly my month fell apart. I was so determined and sure I would be in the winners circle. I was hanging on with 3 pass…
  • I’ve been here for one year and this has been instrumental in transforming my weight loss/get healthy mentality. We don’t fill out spreadsheets, we don’t even report weight loss (officially, although we certainly celebrate it when reported). Take care of the 3 rules and the weight loss will take care of itself. It’s simple…
  • Yes to all 3. Pass days 3/3

  • Merry Christmas everyone and happy birthday to @WhatMeRunning ! It was pass day #3 for me. I didn’t go crazy, but we ended up at a Chinese buffet because hubs decided he didn’t feel like cooking. It was great and we enjoyed ourselves.
