Sent a request ^_^ I'm pretty much in the same boat. Just started going back in January after a 2yr hiatus. Only just last week I have begun to see a change in the scale. Though, before that my inches were going down, but the scale stayed exactly the same. Interesting how that all works lol. But it's a good lesson moving…

You are not alone. Mine is terrible and I too haven't had kids. I had gotten all the way down to 135lbs before and STILL had it :(. But then I found out a little too late, after I had gained about 30lbs back, that you're supposed to weight lift to lose that kind of fat (or recomp I believe is the term). Wish I had known…

*raises hand* Meeee! Me too haha. :D Will most certainly be sending you an add request. I've been back on track since mid January and almost at the 10lb down mark. :) We got this! And I agree, I've been trying to start again, after losing and gaining back, since beginning last year *facepalm* But FINALLY back on…

First mini goal since being back on the weight loss track is lose 20lbs (175) by mid June for a yearly church event. On the verge of hitting the 10lb (185.8 as of this morning) mark so 10 more to go in 2 1/2 months

Lol, yes for sure. That's where I'm finding myself right now. I know once I get my groove I can do it, it's just getting there that's the hard part.

60lbs in 8 months? You give me so much hope! Thanks for sharing this! And congrats, you look amazing!

Hi everyone! I'm going to be joining the gym in a few months after a 3 year hiatus. I used to love weight lifting (I was 165lbs at that time) but didn't get much results other than strength (which is great don't get me wrong!). This time around I want to actually get fit. Anyone have any tips? I'm 5'5 @ 195lbs. Gained a…

This is the boat I'm in right now with regards to the two jobs thing. I think that's what stopped me last year from losing weight cause I just started working the second job and the stress and lack of time is really tough to deal with. But now that I got a better handle on it I think I can do it this year. :D

Hey! The pictures thing is a great idea  And yes, I get you, counting calories is the only thing that works for me as well. Good to see someone in the same boat. Ideally in the long run I'd like to lose 60lbs but even I just lost 40lbs I'd be content. I set my goal at 40 for now and then see how I feel and go from…

I can relate a little to this. I was dating a guy on and off between 2020 and 2021 who would always buy me food and we'd go out to eat all the time. I gained 15lbs each time (also some because of the whole COVID thing like most) and another 10 this past Holiday season. My current struggle is working two jobs. Going to try…

How do you all deal with cravings when strength training? I haven't been able to for a while because of lack of finances but will be able to go back to the gym soonish (depending on COVID). I just remember it being so hard for me to stick to my calorie goal cause I was so ravenous, lol

I get this for sure. I feel I've been a bit TOO lenient. It's strange too because looking back at my calories in vs. calories out (I have a fitbit so I can see what I'm burning) it looks like I'm in a decent enough deficit to at least lose something but I'm either maintaining or gaining. Even if I'm overestimating I don't…

Haha, I definitely track my bad days (proof is in my diary especially lately). I think with me I'm just gonna have to have a consistent calorie range to stay in every day. There tends to be days out of the week where I totally blow it then others I do great.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely responses. I’m definitely at the place where I’ve found my why which is why I’m reaching out. Just needed that extra push. Feeling motivated again so thank you :)

Girl, you look great already! Good job  Wish I would have seen this thread before posting mine. I originally lost about 60lbs then gained almost half of it back. Having a hard time getting back on track, keep going up and down, back and forth :s But yeah, is does help a lot to see others have gone through the same…
