didn't mean to hi-jack the post, but thanks for the input. Will give the 16:8 a shot, that might work. @GottaBurnEmAll na, low carb isn't the issue, its either the 12 mile run or the 7 mile speed work that kill me. I am usually good for a few hours but by lunch I am starving! lol

@blambo61 morning runner, thus my concern. I am used to running on an empty stomach. My concern would be after the run, not refueling, how that would affect the rest of the day.

sounds like one of two things.... one over training, or two, not eating enough to fuel your increase. This of course barring its not a medical problem.

@madelinecamille , curious about your energy level with skipping breakfast. I run A LOT and have wondered about fasting methods (during non-training periods) and how it would affect my energy .

48 and getting younger! Feel free to add. Cardio junkie, runs, duo and triathlons. Cross training includes pretty much circuit training and TRX strap workouts.

@lorrpb , I do it and add squats to it. Many variations.

@fit4life76 it can be a crossfit thing. lol The further forward you stand increases the resistance, thus working your arms and lats more. The more in a standing position you are, the less resistance, thus more of a cardio workout. You will just have to play with your positioning to find your sweet spot.

can't help there, I use the Mapmyfitness app to get an idea of calories...I log my time under circuit training/resistance. For example, this morning was a 45 minute workout, came out to 472 calories...so 110 calories to 10 minutes, give or take. Hope that helps.

I do inclined pull-ups using TRX straps. The straps are great and have MANY other exercise you can do...

I tend to ride toes down. At 47, I compete very well with the younger guys.

ok life has seriously given me too many obstacles this week, lol. I DO NOT LIKE UNSCHEDULED REST DAYS! lol Did get in a light 5 miles this morning. A sprint dual this weekend so I have turned this into a taper weeks.
