Your heart rate is super high.. slow down which is going to bring your heart rate down and this in turn is going to make you feel better.. you'll be able to breathe easier and go for longer without dying.

I like to add a tablespoon of brown sugar to a serving of oatmeal with a little honey and a green apple chopped up in there. This could be a way to get some of that delicious brown sugar you're craving? Also, I used to get crazy cravings for sweet things and I would buy a bag of Hershey Kisses and limit myself to 3…

This. You can actually get a lot of fluid from the foods you eat. I don't find the need to drink a ton of water outside of my food intake. I drink one capucinno (powder mix in drink) in the morning and usually do not drink anything more until lunch time at which time I will have a cup or so of water and the same with…

Can also be used as an adjective and noun. I am not saying the OP used the word in this way. Just stating facts here. Don't get pissy! in·ti·mate1/ˈintəmit/ adjective 1.closely acquainted; familiar, close. 2.private and personal. 3.(of knowledge) detailed; thorough. noun a very close friend.

I'm in for 25 - nursing an ankle sprain.

Agreed.

I use the Polar FT7 also. The HRM is always going to be more accurate as it is actually using your HR to calculate your calories. I don't use the zones for my exercising, I just typically try to keep my HR around 153. If you're just starting out with exercising your HR may be higher, most likely will be higher and then…

Perhaps next time you could ask a friend to split a meal with you. Order something relatively healthy and then split it. This way you are not eating the whole thing and if you do eat it all you know it could have been WAY worse. I do this frequently when I go out to eat with other people. Plain water for me is just.. not…

Holy crap! That doctor has some horrible bedside manners! Good for you for making a change in physicians.

I was incredibly proud of myself on my 204 mile ride in 93 degree heat as I didn't gain or lose any weight! I was terrified I would dehydrate with the heat and duration of my ride!!

^ That.. and the more you do it the less it will hurt, meaning you'll get used to it. I just finished a 204 mile bike ride (2 days) and ended the 2nd day a little sore but I had some good bike shorts and a seat designed for a lady to help get me through it with plenty of stand up/stretchy time on those pedals! Good luck!…

Great thread with great advice. Thank you for posing the question, OP.

This. I do the same, I am sure to make multiple attempts to pull them back in and if I get no responce I delete them. I will search their page for a bit to see if there is some explained reason they haven't been around and if there is I do not delete them but.. after 3 months I figure you're out for good. Now.. I do have…

I burned 1245 calories this morning biking to work, 24.5 miles.. I burn more on the ride home from work as the way I take home is 28 miles and it's mostly uphill (so we're talking 1500-1800). I have not yet done both to work and home in a single day.. but soon! ETA - I use a HRM

I have had to wash a pair of my everyday shoes. I did so in the washing machine using cold water and to dry I set them next to the heater in the house. This did cause them to shrink up a bit/get stiff. After a few times of wearing them they felt better and more wore in. On a side note, I wear Vibrams for all my mud runs…

As long as you're not diving. Polar states that the FT7 is water resistant for 30 meters and suitable for bathing and swimming.
