My weekly check-in: Sticking to my goals. Yesterday marked 100 days of logging on to MFP. Weight loss is about 10 pounds. I don't mind it being so slow, as I consider this a big lifestyle change, as far as eating and fitness go. Any progress is a good thing! Cheers to all of us who are just trying to be better!

Water, why is it so difficult to remember it (the cold weather, maybe?).

Hi, I am 68 years old and have had the same goal for the past three months, and will continue with that goal for December: 15 minutes 2x/day of walking (in home). That is the minimum. I like to do it with dvds, either my own, from the library, or from You tube. Also enjoy some stretching and light weight work. This is a…

Going to do an extra turkey trot today!

More than half way through the month; I have met my goal every day. It is a modest one of walking at least twice a day for 15 minutes each time. Have also added in some trips up and down the stairs. Been sore only twice ( rainy days, as I recall).

Still trying to remember more water!

Wondering about walking dvds? Any by Leslie Sansone will work.

Just did "Walk out" with Jane Fonda DVD, one mile, 20 minutes, includes stretching.

You must have read my mind! I can never remember to drink water - just tea and coffee, which some studies say count as water. What is your take on that? Anyways, I am in and setting my first goal as 32 ounces additional plain water. Thanks for this great challenge! Cheers!

Are we sticking close to plan?

My plan for the week-end, now that it is here? Extra time to plan food and a grocery list for the next few days. Extra time to put in a little more physical activity (notice I didn't say "exercise"). Extra time to think about how I will feel better by even this time next week-end IF I stick to plans.

Been on MFP 45 days. Serious about this. Will be 68 next week. Not allowed more than 1200 calories a day because of my height. Grateful for this free app and the Internet in general. It makes it so much easier than it used to be (and less costly) to get healthy. Fighting a little fatigue, though. Gotta keep going in order…

Maybe it is like it is in AA: Stay away from those friends who are indulging until we are stronger...There is no way I can go near a pizza parlor, ice cream parlor, or buffet, at least for the near future.
