  • Hi everyone! I'm dedicating myself to tracking on MFP as its the only way I've ever lost weight in the past! 32 F, no kids, 5'5" Current weight: 68.7 kg (151.5). Goal: 61.5 kg (135.5). I have about 7 kg to lose or 16 pounds. My daily calorie goal is 1670 right now, but still finding it hard to hit as I feel hungry so…
  • Hey guys! I am trying for 1200-1300 calories a day for the next 3 months before my wedding. I don't exercise much now but I might try to add it in and then eat a bit more. Feel free to add me.
  • We are using a shared google spreadsheet to easily keep track of our progress. 2nd weigh-in coming up on Friday. More members feel free to join.
  • I feel similar to you ladies on a few cases. I reached my lowest adult weight a few years ago when I was in a relationship with a different man who told me I should lose weight. I lost it and I felt great but the relationship ultimately didn't work out and I found my current partner. We put on all our weight together and…
  • Thanks for joining guys. Today is the first weigh-in day but if future members miss the first few weigh-ins that is no problem just join at anytime.
  • Wow great lauramariecee! I am similar I could be having the engagement photos in June 2019 as well and then engagement party in August and wedding ceremony in February 2020. Other folks who have a special event as a motivation can also join too! Our group will be inclusive and supportive to all.
  • Awesome see you in the group.
  • Yeah I totally agree that it is the lifestyle first that causes the weight "settling point"! That notion definitely needs to be considered. If I had a new lifestyle of working out every day and eating a certain way I bet my weight would settle at a new point. More motivation and reason to change and monitor the way I eat…
  • Sounds like me. I have never gotten to 130 pounds. Barely touched my toe into 131 then jumped back up from there. My body settled at the high of 169. I don't like that place...
  • That is really interesting that you mentioned staying at a certain weight for 18 months in order for it to become a new set point. I do kind of agree with that. I stayed at my lower 60-62 kg set point for about 18 months but then life circimstances rose it very quickly to my current weight of 67 kg. Which I have been at…
  • Yeah I don't really think "set zones" are a real thing that our bodies can't overcome. It just feels like it when you maintain at a certain weight for a long time! Then gain or lose and then stay at that certain weight for a long time. Maybe it is just yo-yo-ing though, really.
  • I most definitely prefer my 135 frame to the current 147 as well!! And hopefully never getting set long term at the high 160's again! I am trying to slowly get the eating closer to weight loss calories and maybe it will start creeping down again.
  • I don't need to lose 30 pounds but hoping to lose 15 pounds slowly in these coming months before winter! Would love to join you guys and girls.
  • South Korea!! There's tons of Korean foods in the database here at MFP which I love!
  • I will be working to lose 10-15 pounds by the end of the year. Let's do it together!
