I go outside my front door and take a walk. I live in a hilly area, and it's either up or down no matter the direction I go. No stair climber needed!

I start at the grocery store, easier for me to make good choices if that's all I have. It's a struggle though, especially if others are in your household that can eat the snacky food, But most of my trigger foods are mine alone - I can stay out of my husband's!

Maybe they need Inspiration - I agree, motivation is temporary - long term healthy living takes all the traits you said - I hate when I tell myself I "Hope" I'll do something. I usually change my self talk to I "Will" do it - whatever it is.

My husband wants me to retire - but I really don't want to - what would I do all day? And I have the almost perfect job right now, close to home, little stress, and it pays pretty well too. And to whom would I talk to besides him? I love the guy, but all the time? Maybe in 4, 5, 6, 7 years, when I'm 65! - LOL!
