Agreed. Even Lyle himself makes a point at the very beginning to say pretty much what you did.

Won't lie. Clicked on this thread to see if it was one of his. :D

To add - the book does consist of a few examples/stories of women he's worked with. Their goals, etc. It contains a walk through of how he figures out calorie intake for his clients, talks about setting reasonable goals, etc. He breaks things down pretty simply in order to educate people so even if they move on from his…

320 pages is an enormous book? You could do the digital version of the book if that will help. I have the kindle version and you can add your own notes, highlight and save certain areas of the book so they are easy to jump to. The pictures he has are pretty basic but I believe most of the exercises are either on his…

You could focus on incorporating more calorie dense foods that may make things easier to reach your calorie goals. Not sure how you're eating now, but if you tend to aim for low fat or low carb (or other diet type foods like that) - avoid them. Maybe use more butters (dairy or/and nut butters) and olive oil in your…

You'll have to be a bit more specific. What did you request to join? Did you try to contact the creator of the challenge?

There are also different variations that can make certain exercises harder (whether dumbbell or even just bodyweight). But I do agree there are limitations but I think if you're an absolute beginner and only have dumbbells - at least you can focus on form without feeling to pressured about upping the weight. Although in…

Absolutely NAY. If you look at any weight loss supplement it says (in summary) must be taken with exercise and a good diet. It doesn't make the loss faster or "burn fat" like they like to claim. It's an expensive placebo at the best and potentially health hazardous at the worse. Save yourself the disappointment and the…

Well, if you can find a guild willing to help beginners, you can work towards the gear that gives you more xp - so grinding is a little faster. ETA: Whoops. Didn't see this was post was back in May. Nvm :D

FOR THE HORDE!

If you use the softer tofu I'm not sure. I go with Firm and Extra Firm. When I've cooked with it, the leftovers lasted 3-4 days. So about on average with most foods, I'd think. If you are eating as is, I wouldn't keep it for more than 2-3 days once opened.
-
Do you like tofu? That's the easiest way I can think of. I grew up on it (asian here) so I can eat it with just a small dish of soy sauce and grated ginger for dipping sauce. You can cook it (tofu) in a few other things like stir fry, certain soups (i.e. miso based), or even scrambled eggs. If you have time, you can press…

Aside from the above the only other thing I can think of is if maybe you do homemade veggie burgers? Then you'd be able to see how much soy gets put into it.
-
No. It really wouldn't. But honestly, why are you monitoring how much soy is in something? Do you have intolerance issues with it?

Still painting with a broad brush, I see. So...where was that link to the youtube video that made you think creatine supplements were extremely toxic?
-
It "should." If it hasn't shown up, it could simply due to a delay in the two syncing with each other. If nothing gets posted in several hours, you may either need to reconnect or ask for support. Also just an FYI - if you label your meals differently in MFP it will all end up in the "Other" (or something similar) category…

In regards to the milk - couldn't hurt. But honestly, go with what you prefer taste wise. Whether it be 1%, 2%, full fat, etc. Because if you don't like the texture of full fat, you might end up not drinking it/using it at all. Are you opposed to regular butter? My go to is Kerrygold butter because of the taste and…

^ Definitely all this. The only supplements I'd ever recommend would be if you were continually coming in deficient on something (i.e. iron, calcium, etc) - which I'm sure is something your doctor would also recommend at some point. Although you can usually meet these with food, sometimes a multi-vitamin is just a nice…

Except the fact is they weren't coming off in a demeaning tone. It's text. It's advisable on any forum to just look at what the words are saying versus imagining if someone is coming off a certain way - especially when asking for advice. But again, why don't you try keeping these sort of things in PMs so we don't derail…

What? A day? No. It can sometimes take 2-4 weeks to see results from any sort of change in the amount you eat to starting a new workout routine. What she needs to do is go through the flow chart that was posted on the first page and really review if her logging is accurate. This includes how she logs exercise calories. If…

It's things like that which make the difference between a nutritionist and an actual Registered Dietitian. Haha.

Depending on his height/weight and overall goals - 40% protein isn't that unbalanced. ETA: Mostly what BecomingBane said - especially avocado, oils and butter. Maybe you could include some into what you cook for certain meals?
-
Except a lot of people that post here don't even know where to start in regards to research. So by your logic, we should only post anecdotes? ETA: And posting links, etc is discussing the topic. You're the one that derailed it a bit - which is why I made it a point to say in an earlier post that maybe you should have PM'd…

You mean the face on the clerk typing in the reason for divorce? Or the wife trying to claim the food scale in the division of property just to mess with him?
-
Either that or you've got the portion of people who misunderstand the woo button trying to give you a positive high five in the wrong way. :D

Unless you are under doctor supervision, it's a very dangerous thing to do. You could end up with gallstones, a higher increase of dealing with osteoporosis since the nutirtional imbalance will lead to leaching of calcium from your bones, or/and painful inflammation of the joints caused by high uric acid since you aren't…

It's the time of the year I get to use my kotatsu. The only thing better is that feeling when it's freezing and you snuggle under the blankets with the dog as a mini heater.
