  • Don't exercise then. Let your body heal and get stronger first. Take a magnesium supplement. Add salt to your food. I had to drink tall glasses of water with 1/2 tsp of salt my first couple weeks. Get plenty of sleep. Don't be afraid of fat. Eat plenty of healthy fats. Avoid soybean, canola, vegetable, all refined…
  • That keto flu is rough isn't it? Took me two tries. Stuck with it on the second go round. I added magnesium supplements to my regimen and literally drank salt water. 1/2 tsp in a tall glass of water to get through it.
  • Good on you! Congratulations!
  • It's only your fourth day. If you keep getting the desired results while doing what you're doing, then don't change anything. Don't fix what isn't broken right? However if you feel like things slow down a bit as far as progress, not losing inches after a months time, then maybe take a look at possibly making some…
  • Just joined today. Keto on! Look forward to your future posts.

  • Tips: Drink water. Read labels. Not just the nutrition fact macros, but read the ingredients too. Decide if that is what you want to put in your body. Eat veggies that grow above ground. Don't be afraid of fat. If you weigh yourself, weigh everyday at the same time each day. Average the weeks weights every week to see the…
  • Me too! Just joined today.
  • My take on an experience like that is to not sweat the small stuff. Be kind to yourself. Don't be a nazi about it. Be strict, yes, that's good, but show yourself some mercy and give yourself a break. Count it as a learning experience on the journey, but stay on the journey.
  • Coconut oil, full fat canned coconut milk, avocado oil, fatty meats e.g. whole chickens with the skin (eat the skin), marbled steaks, chuck roasts (they are fatty), chops with the strip of fat on them, olives, cheese, cream, sour cream, plain yogurt, macadamia nuts (80% fat calories). When I cook my greens - swiss chard…
  • In my personal experience I'm not worried about small gains on the scale e.g. 1-3 lbs. I weigh everyday and average the weights at the end of each week. I have an excel spreadsheet I use. I take my measurements. I pay attention to how my clothes are fitting and how my health and how I feel is improving. The reason I don't…

  • Whoniverse_Lover 265.8 lbs 5'10" Struggles? Obesity. Goal weight range 150-165 lbs I eat at 3 pm everyday. I began OMAD Saturday December 10, 2016 at 272 lbs. I stumbled across Joe's channel/videos because one of them was under 'recommended' videos for me. I've been desperate to reverse this obesity. I started Weight…
  • Yes, it does feel weird. I agree. I'm not hitting my calorie or protein goals either, but I have just started EMTWL. I'm giving myself some learning time. I'm allowing myself to not be perfect as I delve into this new way of eating and living. It's just so nice not to be starving all day anymore. It's such a relief to be…
  • Sure, I'm ready to start lifting, but only my limbs. LoL. Just getting up and moving about is a big deal for me just yet. I will add weights to my my exercise when I'm physically ready/able. I'm able to do Leslie Sansone's walk away the pounds 1 mile walk now. I couldn't get through it 20 lbs ago. So that is some progress.…
  • I created a custom exercise after I checked what Aerobics-Low Impact would be. So for example, 20 minutes of low-impact aerobics for me is 204 calories burned. So I typed into my custom cardio exercise Leslie Sansone 1 mile walk/20 minutes/204 calories burned. This I can rinse and repeat for 2 mile and 3 mile etc. as I…
  • Not a typing error. I'm obese and those are the calories it takes to maintain my obesity. So reducing to 2150 will help me lose .5 lbs a week if I do zero exercise, but of course I'll be exercising. I'm 5'10".
