Yeah, last year sucked for this. Here's hoping the province isn't on fire again this year. Camping in Oliver in July (and visiting wineries) so would really like sunny vs smokey.

Those aren't breasts. :)

For those of you who don't sweat, do you find you overheat more than most people? Just curious. I'm a sweater and end up drenched after working out or running.

I tweaked my back falling down a hill (cross country, not downhill skiing) so I get it. Have been a lump since Sunday. Just going to wait until it feels better.

Bear in mind that, for me at ~200 lbs, a 5 k run is about 400 calories burned. So, if that is part of your deficit, great. But if you are not tracking what you eat it's pretty easy to eat 400 calories.

1576? As others have said, pick a starting point (I'd go 1600) and see how it goes for a couple of months. There are a number of formulas out there and it's all an approximation anyway,

Turn on negative adjustments and you should be good to go.

They generally suck on the weights side though. If he wants to hear clunks and grunts, probably want weights.

Not beer, but if you like wine (and don't mind coming to Canada). And it's just a half. http://destinationraces.com/runbc/registration/

If you are looking into weight lifting, read through the first few pages of this thread. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1 Lifting is the best way to build body composition, while cardio is the best way to burn calories. Shoot for a balance but find what…

I did 1. Was not what I thought I had signed up for. Was labelled beginner weight training, so I thought they were going through the basics of lifting, but it was a cardio weight lifting class. Hated it. Have not done a group class since but worked with a coach at the Y to learn some basic lifting instead. I'd rather do my…

I did 2 halfs last year so my goal is more halfs and one full. Does that count :)
-
You do that. I expect a detailed report, in triplicate, in my mailbox by Monday, Jan 14, 2019, 9 am PST. (Thanks)

How programmable is it from the app? Can you program a run (say C25K) or are you limited to the built in, normal programs?
-
Google. Second one down if I do a search.
-
Yup. Can't read it.

No. This thread has been pretty active, even if it started last year. No issues. Now, this thread, https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/33324/do-cigarettes-have-calories/p3 LOL

I have a pair. They do help, but my issue is I like to run first thing, so when it is dark still. I get up at 5, light breakfast and run. I start work at 7. So if I run outside, it's in the dark, and I'm not comfy doing that even with the Yak Traks. If I run on the weekend through snow or ice I use them and they are…

^^This. My gym offers one free session and the PT bailed on me twice. Probably because I was clear I did not want long term and just wanted to have just the one session at this time. So no money for him in coming.

And????

I bought some of this as a low caffeine alternative to coke zero, and was real surprised how much I like it. Tried to buy more and the store was sold out.
-
Yeah, well I'm an accountant so I use my high school algebra most days. :)

Have you got 44 inch tires on it? I've seen guys who are off that much. Most get it fixed at the tranny/transfer case with aftermarket products or software patches.
-
Again, the answer is yes, but read this thread to see someone who has hit their goal, but not happy with body comp. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10718468/recomp-only-option Bear this in mind as you lose weight. Yet to see anyone post on here that they were sorry for starting lifting and lots (myself…

That's a trick I learned watching another guy set up hi DL.

Yeah, that is what my gym has. They have two of them and no separate space for deadlifting. That's where I (and anyone else I've seen) do deadlifts. Guess I learned something today. Hate when that happens :)

If you are under by ~200 a day, then that will give you a bit less than another 1/2 lb a week. But yeah, initially there is usually (not always) a big drop. Give it a month, pick up those 200 cals (have a beer) and see where you are at. I've been losing for a while now (2.3 years apparently) but took most of Dec off. My…

I do know that weight is lost ~85% through breathing and ~15% through water (urine, sweat etc) just from the science of weight loss, but I'd be hard pressed to notice it. Losing 2 lbs a week would men 0.3 lbs of water over the week and I doubt it would be enough to notice. I drink more so I pee more.

Hmm. I've only ever seen deadlifts done in the rack. Maybe just my gym, but that's where I do mine. Squat, OHP the deadlift. And I'm not the only one. Unless power rack means something different that my gym doesn't have. ETA. It's also the only place to bench in my gym. No dedicated bench press equipment.

What @apullum said.
