Mostly due to lack of options in my area, but sometimes I let it get to me and start believing that there's just something wrong with me.

I had the same problem! I found a small chest freezer on Craigslist for $75 and it's been a perfect solution!

If you want to try meal prepping but don't have a lot of time, how about making additional portions when you cook a meal for the family? It's just my son and I at home, but I'll often make 4 servings instead of 2, and then portion out the other 2 into containers and toss them in the freezer. It doesn't take any extra time…

I'm in a similar situation. I only have my son every other week and I have no family in state. As an introvert, it's very easy to slowly devolve into being a hermit and never leaving my house. I have to force myself to get out and be social. I joined a bunch of meetup groups and starting attending various activities -…

Not shaming or intending to spread misinformation. Simply sharing an option that has worked well for me. Some people appreciate hearing ideas for things they didn't think of that may work for them.

Well, we all know abs are made in the kitchen! Diet is key. I do a big meal prep once a month-ish and make 25-30 freezer meals. Everything gets weighed and measured. As for fitness, I've never specifically focused on my abs. Any of your compound lifts will work your core (deadlifts, bench press, squats, etc). The first…

I do meal prep once a month and make 25-30 meals to freeze. It gives me variety, convenience, and full knowledge of exactly what I'm putting in my body. It's worth the couple of hours I spend cooking every few weeks.

I don't know how to relate to people who constantly complain about their lives but make no efforts to change anything.

Happy Friday Eve, singles! Who's got something fun coming up this weekend?

I want to be in that pool

Oh, hey! Is it time for our quarterly check in with everyone? 😆 Still single, not broken (as in bones) anymore, and kicking *kitten* in the gym. Getting myself back out there socially with meetup groups (hiking, tubing, paddleboarding, etc) after 5 months of being a homebody thanks to injuries. So I guess I'm doing well?

I was injured for 5 months this year and couldn't do any cardio or heavy compound lifts. I lost a lot of ground in terms of fitness. By July 1 I was finally able to put a shoe on again, test out running, and go back to my normal lifting and yoga routines. I challenged myself to getting back to my former levels of fitness…

I take progress pics and measurements and track them along with weight. Sometimes the scale doesn't move, but your body is still changing shape, so it helps to look at more than just your weight.

My office job is sedentary, but if you're strictly talking about training I'd probably put myself in the highly active category. I lift weights and do yoga 3x/week, circuit training 2x/week, run 2-4x/week, and hike on the weekends when I get the chance.
